Summary: I purchased this printer, because the C84 I was using was flashing a message stating that, operating life of the computer had expired. The item I purchased was to replace this unit. It never worked, and in days I junked it. It was listed as replaced stock from NASA offices.
Summary: I owned a brand new one and the photo quality was exellent, but when the print heads get plugged you mught as well throw the whole printer away. I wouldn't believe any one who is selling a used one because they do print very well or they wouldn't be selling it.
Summary: Out of the 4 of these that we bought ALL 4 DIED within a year. It seems once that jam 1 time, they always complain of no ink even when you put new ink in. I later read about a class action suit against them specific to this problem. We could have gotten some small $ back, but it wasn't worth it.
Summary: I'm on my second C84, first replaced under warranty. You CAN'T print black only...sucks all colors printing black. Computer chips on the ink carts calculate of prints runs then shut down, indicating "empty" when 60% full. Major INK HOG: it will use 1/3 of a cart performing head-cleaning...
Summary: This printer uses far too much ink, won't print when any cartridges are empty, and as others have noted, will indicate that cartrdiges are empty when they still have ink in them. A total ripoff.
Summary: total piece of crap. don't buy. i bought extra carts, money wasted as it turned out. i bought the printer and extra cartridges to no avail when it stopped work epson printer.ing. i'll never buy another
Summary: I got this printer to use for school. Most things are online these days so my printing was pretty minimal. I'd say I printed about 10-20 pages per month. This piece of junk went through two black cartridges ($30 a piece) and then quit printing completely.
Summary: I've had the printer a little over 2 years now and have replaced all the ink cartridges at least 4 times (and I hardly ever print photos on this machine, just basic documents with a few color graphics here and there). It sucks ink like there's no tomorrow.
JUNK!!!! - Too bad there is no option for zero stars

Summary: Same story as many of the other reviewers. I am a graphics professional, I know how to care for my printers. Thankfully, we received this printer for free with the purchase of a Mac powerbook. It's been a year-and-a-half, maybe two years... now the print heads are clogged and won't be cleaned.
