I just got this one (new). In a few years, I will get another if needed.

Summary: This is my second C84 and I also had a C86 It is a workhorse, versatile, reliable! Over a 12 year period I have used these printers heavily. Worked them to death. Good quality prints/copies. I have nothing negative to say.
Among a small elite which both work with LInux, and which print envelopes.

Summary: Like most inkjet printers, the jets clog after some period of use. I purchased this printer to replace one which suffered that infirmity, and for which the cost of repairing the unit exceeded the cost of replacing it,...particularly since I'd stocked up on ink cartridges. This printer is certainly not perfect, or the clogging would not have occurred in the first place, but, as inkjets go, it's the best I have owned, and I recommend it for dependability.
Inkjet purchase to replace the two others that went Kaput(C66)

Summary: Works great so far and I was surprised that it came with a parallel port, and a USB port. Reason I say this is I have owned the C66 which only has a USB port and had thought that this model being a higher number would only have a USB port also.
Summary: Ive had two of these in eight years, first one finally died after using it every day for six years. This one I have now I bought used for a good price. It's like the first one and it prints several times a day. I like it because each color cartridge is separate and I can get refilled cartridges at $6 a cartridge on the internet. I've read that if you let this printer set for several days without using it, some of the colors might not print.
Summary: For those of us not looking for the next new computer and ways around the wireless age this machine DOES THE JOB. My dad is using a computer from 1999 and still uses dialup service. This was a replacement for an existing printer that he put throught the mill and guess what....the replacement still pumps out the printed documents needed for his part time job. Sure the wireless/mobile world is great but for old school you cannot go wrong. Thanks again.
Summary: I bought the Epson c 84 as a replacement. Going on over 2 weeks and its working great. The church printer went out and the pc that is used for payroll uses parallel ports...not usb. So this was the perfect fit. Thanks for having this item on hand.
Summary: This is my third C84 after loosing my last one in a house fire. The pigmented Dura-Brite inks are fantastic. For a printer that only uses three colors plus black it produces great prints up to 8.5 X 11. I have some framed ones that still are just as vibrant as the day they were printed.
Summary: I purchased this printer, because the C84 I was using was flashing a message stating that, operating life of the computer had expired. The item I purchased was to replace this unit. It never worked, and in days I junked it. It was listed as replaced stock from NASA offices. I have since purchased an Epson R280,and it works fine. The ability to warn the user that a unit is about to malfunction, raises many questions.
