Summary: This a great printer for an older printer. It is very reliable. It is not as fast as the newer ones.I have one at my office so I wanted the same one at home so I didn't have so many ink cartiridge laying around.
Summary: i had another epson printer that screwed up, but i was gonna get it fixed until i seen this one. i wasn't gonna buy a new printer, but have you seen the prices for the printer cartridges? this printer cost just a smidge above what they cost bought together. my other printer uses the same cartridges as this so i just transfered them over. as for the price, it was almost like getting the printer for free.
Summary: This is my 3rd ink jet printer. All of my printers have been used for my home office. The deciding factor for this purchase was the individual ink tanks. I regularly print the same color graphic for a sales flyer and only change the text month to month. With a "tri" color cartridge I was running out of "M" before the other inks had expired, which made the cartridge useless at that point. So this printer was a really economical option for my printing needs.
Summary: I brought this printer to replaced my old Epson C80 whose usefulness have ended. The Epson C66 proves to be a pretty good bargain for the price. I just finished giving it a good work out, printing out nearly 150 pages of text with images and over 90 4x6 color prints. Overall, the image quality proves to be quite good and the machine haven't fall apart on me. The installation proves to be super easy.
Excerpt: If my memory is serving me correctly, we have owned approximately six printers over the years; all of which guzzled ink as if there were no tomorrow! As hubby spends the majority of his time using the computer to print out his digital photographs, it was essential that we had a reliable, yet economical colour printer.
Pros: Very economical on ink . Excellent printing quality and superb photographs
Excerpt: I would not recommend buying this printer. Initially the printer was good but over time it has given me a number of headaches. Most of the time now ( since it was only 2 years old) it leaves ink splashes all around the printed page which just make professional letters look terrible. It is supposed to be greater value for money with the four separate ink cartridges but this is not the case - the coloured inks run out even when i have NEVER used them!
Excerpt: I cannot speak too highly of the Epson Stylus C66. I have had problems with every single printer i've used, either breaking down or not being of the highest quality. The Stylus c66, has however, yet to give me ANY problems whatsoever (touchwood). My technological knowledge is not vast, but my hadns on experience with this printer tells me that it is extremely good. Pages are printed quickly and to a high standard. You can choose also to what standard it should print at.
Pros: Quick, Cheap and Long Lasting
Cons: None really, occasional streaks in printouts .
Excerpt: I bought my C66 12 months ago and absolutely no problems, the set up was straightforward. I was amazed at the print quality, which was far superior to a more expensive rival manufacturers machine I had previously. Try to use only 100GM paper as on lighter paper you tend to get an ink show through on the reverse of the paper. Epson recommend only their cartridges, although I get mine off the internet from a source I trust, and the reproduction is as good as the original.
Excerpt: Ok this is more of a tip than a review. This info came from the company I buy my compatible ink cartrigdes from. If your having problems with the text not printing properly, I.e it seems to be leaving the odd line out or part of the colour is missing. If you follow what is says on the help section you will use a whole load of ink following the advice as it tells you to keep runing the head cleaning program untill its all clear text again.
Excerpt: I have had loads of printers and this one would be in the top 3. I bought this a couple of months ago for around £50, which I think is a great price for a printer of this quality. It comes bundled with… - A black, cyan, magenta and yellow print cartridge. - A cd-rom with the drivers, - Utilities, - Epson Photo Quicker - Users guide and - Warranty Information Unfortunately it didn't come with a USB cable but that's not a problem I just used one of the cables from my...
Pros: Looks good, nice and compact, great printing quality
