Summary: It tells you that it prints at 17 pages per minute but that isn't true. It takes a very long time to print out anything from text to images. It you arn't looking for speed then I would suggest this printer. The quality is what you get for the buck. So if you need nothing fancy this is the best printer for the price.
Summary: I bought the computer to print basic texts, and I chose it because of its low price. The printer prints text nicely and has no problem with colored images that go along with the texts. I am no printer expert, but the black ink went away very fast. I used up the black ink after perhaps 70 pages. Remember, the black ink cartridge is perhaps one third the size as the black ink in any other printers I have used.
Summary: It prints well but is a little slow, it's not as fast as my Canon iP3000. If the printer sits without being used ink will start to dry in the printhead. A cleaning cycle tends to take care of this problem. If my Canon printhead dries I can easly take the printhead out and run hot water over it, the Epson printhead can not be removed. I hope it doesn't get a stubborn clog.
Summary: Printer handles a variety of paper weights and sizes. Was very pleased - and we used it quite heavily -- running 100 color images in one run. PROBLEM came when the printer started putting up an error message on the screen about "Consumables" (And NO...NOT INK) and directed us to the owners manual. Nothing in the owners manual about the issue. Phoned Epson support and they gave us the name of 2 "repair shops" to take it to.
good value for the printer compromised by cost of cartridges

Summary: when i first purchased this and started using it i thought i got a great deal on a very reliable color printer. then after not all that many printings (it's only applied for light residential use), i realized that epson's strategy was to lure you in with the price of the printer so they could make money by selling you the ink cartridges. they wear out fast and they cost almost 1/2 the price of the printer per cartridge.
Summary: Wonder why you're getting a printer so cheap? You're probalby only getting reject half filled ink tanks included, and look at the cost of new cartridges and consider how frequently you may need to buy them unless you hardly ever do any printing. People are fed up with printer manufacturers having cartridges with sponges that don't refill well (Lexmark), or smart chips that prevent refills (Epson), not to mention HP's methods including "Expired Cartridge" messages, etc.
Summary: Posseggo questa stampante da ormai 3 anni. All'inizio si è comportata abbastanza bene, senza avere troppe pretese.
