Summary: My old C60 got killed by some lightning. I wanted a C60 to replace it because the cartridges for the C60 are a fourth the cost of comparable printers (see: [...]). The price for the used model was right and it has performed at the level I wanted. My position is that the cost of the cartridges is just as important as the first cost of the printer. If you buy a printer for $29 and the cartridges cost $18, why is that a buy.
Summary: I love this printer so far. It is super fast and the printing looks great. It was a little loud, but I don't mind becuase it is so nice. And what can you expect for a hundred dollar printer? I was actually suprised at how fast it was. It really is as fast as it says. The installation was quick and easy. I didn't have any problems, no freezing etc. I didn't have to re-boot. I am thrilled to have it. And I would recommend it to everyone.
Summary: my epson 740 printer died recently. the internal chip wouldn't reset and it didn't make sense to get it repaired/replaced out of warranty.(if your epson printer has all lights blinking and it doesn't work, email epson...there's a certain combination/sequence of depressing the toner-paperfeed-on/off buttons that resets the printers chip.) i liked the printer very much. really good pictures.
Summary: Excellent print quality, both in colour and black/white. Very fast when printing in black/white. Colour printing speed could use a little bit of improvement (a photo-quality print at 2880dpi can take up to 15 minutes, depending on complexity of the picture) but I'm not complaining. A little on the loud side when the cartridges charge up. Ink lasts for a fairly long time. Nice, clean looking printer.
Summary: This printer is a replacement for our Canon Multipass (never buy one of those!). It performs extremely well, better than average for the price. Setup was a breeze -- I had this out of the box and printing inside of 10 minutes. Documentation is extremely easy to use. I definitely like the onscreen ink indicator. It's nice to be able to see in a click whether I'm getting close to needed a new cartridge. It actually prints faster than advertised.
Summary: I just bought the C60 and have been extremely happy with the quality. I am fussy being a professional photographer but the prints are acceptable photo quality prints. I don't think they are archival though which may be a drawback. I will order ink on Ebay for it to cut costs...do a search for a source. The speed of the printer was very impressive. I have a Kodak PM 100 and it takes 10 minutes for an 8x10.
Summary: If you're going to buy an inkjet printer, make it an epson! I bought the C60 for my HP after having some serious words with my two Compaq printers. I had to insist that they leave the house! I had to clean nozzles every time I wanted to use the dare things, and had to feed at least 4 sheets of paper through them to get any kind of results. This is not a good thing considering the price of inkjet cartridges.
Summary: I bought two of these last Christmas, one for my sister and one for my mother. It's undoubtedly the most printer you can get for the money. I've used all popular brands of inkjet printers and for my money, none can produce the quality of an Epson. This printer has high enough resolution for both documents and color photos, however if you think you'll be doing a lot of photo printing, you might step up to one of the models with 5-color inkjets for a wider color gamut.
