Excerpt: Ive had this printer for around 3 years now, i pruchased it because i knew i could soruce the cartridges from ebay and similar for around 4 pounds for the set. The printer takes a combination set of black and colour cartridges, 2 in total. This is great cos as the black runs low, you dont have to bin the colour to refil. The printer provides photo quality printing, well almost on glossy paper, good enough for albums and alike anyway.
Economical and functional - great all round performer

Excerpt: We purchased this printer as a compromise between quality and cheap cartridge price. The cartridge prices are reasonable and they last for quite a long time under normal use. We were also pleasantly surprised with the quality of the print outs. The text is quick to print and good quality. Colour pictures are also relatively quick to print with a good quality depending on the printing preferences selected.
Excerpt: Epson C46 Printer Basics This printer is a fair few years old now but is still worthy of a mention. I picked mine up for next to nothing, I can't remember the exact price but I seem to remember getting change from £40. It connects very easily using a standard USB cable which does not come in the box. Quality The print quality isn't amazing, but for such a low price printer is perfectly acceptable.
Pros: Cheap printer, cheap cartridges
Cons: Print quality low, noisy, a little slow to start printing
Excerpt: Definitely for HOME USE ONLY! This printer should only be used as indicated by the makers, it should only be used only at home because it cannot take heavy printing jobs (like 40 pages or so). It is easy to use but for some time that this printer is with you, you should learn how to deal with it at times when it doesn't print documents lined-up and when it simply eats up your paper causing it to jam in its insides.
Excerpt: I purchased the Epson C44 four years ago and replaced it with the C46, due to service requirement. I found the C44 printer to be very reliable, but slow at printing. I purchased the Epson C46 in May 2007 for second hand for £10:00 and as of present I have no signficant problem with the printer. The issue I have with the C46 is it tended to streak when printing documents. This is no longer a problem.
Excerpt: Our Epson Stylus C46 was bought 3 or 4 years ago as a standby printer, as our Epson CX3200 was showing signs of advancing age. We paid around £50 for the C46 and were immediately pleased with its performance. Although a little slow, it made up for this by being easy to use, and producing good quality print and pictures.
Pros: Cheap, easy and produces good quality print and pictures
Excerpt: If you're the kind of person who considers entering second gear while driving a risky and dangerous prospect, then the epson stylus c46 may well be the printer you've been crying out for. Similarly, if you're an avid beard grower you may find sitting by this printer to be a relaxing and theraputic method of whiling away the hours whilst you cultivate an impressive mane of facial hair. Well, it would be theraputic if the printer wasn't doing it's best to deafen you.
Excerpt: I recieved this printer free when I bought my laptop, but at the time it was worth £50. My parents have always had Epson's and never had any problems so was pleased it was an Epson I got free. Installation was so easy I thought I'd done it wrong! I simply plugged the printer into the main and then the USB connection into my laptop and it went through the installation process by itself.
Excerpt: I guess I got what I paid for here. This product had good reviews, so I thought I was getting a bargain. However, this printer has the following major problems: 1) Poor print quality - smudgy and blurry 2) Expensive to run - the ink runs out ridiculously often, after printing about 30 pages. And the cartridges are not cheap. 3) Every time I've used this printer I've had to fiddle around to get it working, with lots of problems getting the paper to feed through.
Cons: Badly built, expensive to run, poor print quality, noisy
