Summary: The best thing about this printer is the screen size. My previous picturemate bit the dust and thought I was upgrading. I am so disappointed in the function of the printer. Defaults to 4x6 and other sizes are difficult to work with. To get smaller prints, you have to select the pictures from a certain date and print ALL of the them. The predecessor had many more options for printing. When you crop/trim one picture, it prints two thus wasting ink.
Summary: Just pulled it out of the box, and it does not print the last 1 inch or so of the photo. The printer drive stops and multiple passes of the printer head cause the paper to move, picture to blur and damages the last 1/2 inch of paper. Called product support, trouble shot. Sending unit back to Epson Store and replacing with same unit. Previously had a PM280 with no problems until it said internal part has reached time limit.
Summary: i got this printer in December 2010, and it prints very nice pictures, but the screen is horrible or broken, i can hardly see my pictures on the screen it is that bad, but still prints come out very nice.
Summary: I just got the Epson PictureMate Show and set it up, however the remote doesn't work. It may have come with a bad battery, but shouldn't that have been checked? In looking at this, this entire printer does not function without the remote. What if someone misplaces the remote? The printer should have hard wired controls on the device itself and not be dependent completely upon an external remote. I've got a big function for this printer this weekend.
