Excerpt: It made nice prints fresh out of the box. Then the printer wasn't used for 3 months. I just tried to print something and only yellow ink came out, in streaks. I opened two brand new paper/ink packs to see if a fresh ink cartridge was the problem. Still nothing. I did a nozzle cleaning, then a deep nozzle cleaning, Just streaky I'm throwing it away. Too bad. It made nice photos when it worked.
Summary: I got this printer as a gift as I was pregnant with twins. I tried it out and it was great. By the time I tried it again, my babies were born and about 2 months went by. No matter how often I cleaned the nozzles or aligned the heads, it printed splotchy and with lines. CUstomer service told me you have to print at least every 2 weeks or this will happen. And if you clean the nozzles too often, then the nozzle heads get loose and will never print correctly again.
Summary: The first printer I received was stuck on the installation help screens and was never able to charge the print cartridge. Wasted 5 hours between Epson support and searching for help online. Amazon was awesome in sending a replacement in 2 days. Second printer same issue. Wasted another hour, turning it off and on, inserting and removing the cartridge. The batches Amazon has in stock must have some serious quality control issues.
Summary: This ships with a cartridge that will only do 20 prints. So chintzy that I have barely wanted to use it. I don't know if this is the only size offered, but why even produce this low capacity version.
Summary: I have had other models of this printer..this must be the firs tone ever made. Lousy thing piece eof junk. Does not display the photo on the screen...you must print everything first on proof sheet and then guess how they will turn out when you crop or lighten or darken them. The ink pack with it was completely empty. Spent anopther $30 on ink and tried it anyway and the printng quality was horrible.
