Summary: The Deluxe is simple to use and prints quality photographs. Because of the pigment ink, the prints truly are water and smudge proof. I've had mine for over a year and just bought one for my mother before all the deluxe versions are gone. Not interested in the newer models as are not the same quality. My grandmother also just bought this printer as she really likes mine.
Summary: The discontinued Epson PictureMate Deluxe Viewer Edition Photo Printer is by far the finest consumer portable photo printer ever made (as of the this writing Thursday, July 12, 2007). Using a complex pigment 6-ink system these amazing prints are long-lasting, fade, water, and smudge proof! The 4x6 prints come out perfectly borderless and with amazing color after pushing a couple of buttons.
Summary: I love this printer! You can't tell the difference between them and 'photo center' pics! Only thing you have to remember is not to use other papers with this printer. The ink doesn't work well on other brands. Otherwise, very highly recommended.
Summary: I just purchased this little photo printer and have been very impressed with the quality of photo prints. One thing I did read in a couple of past reviews was how it was not able to read from 2gb SD cards. It absolutely will read 2gb SD cards as I use one in my Nikon D80 camera and it reads it with no problems. Maybe a little slow but it does read it just the same. In case it matters, I wanted to set the record straight.
Summary: I read the reviews and purchased this so I could print wallet-size pictures for 8-1/2 x 11 scrapbook pages. I previously used an HP printer but as I was cutting the pictures for my pages, I noticed my fingers were black from the ink! ugh! When I pulled this out of the box, I wasn't sure this lil' printer could handle a stay-at-home mom's scrapbook urges...and then I printed my first picture.
Summary: I purchased this with hesitation. I never got good quality photos from my computer printer and did not enjoy digital photography because of it. It far exceeded my expectations. You would never know the photos are not from a developer. It is easy to use with many options. You can actually view and edit the photo before you print. You can add frames. Yet, it is portable enough to take with you on vacations. Love it.
Summary: I had just a couple of my vacation pictures printed at a local photo shop (while I shopped around for a photo printer for my home), and after I got this darling little printer -- it's easy to transport, easy to store, takes up little room on the computer desk, and is just plain cute -- I printed the whole batch of pictures (over 300). The pictures from this printer are EVERY BIT AS GOOD as the ones from the photo shop!
Summary: I received the printer as a Xmas gift from my mother and brother in 2005. I love love love this photo printer. I was blown away by the print quality when I saw the very first picture that I printed. They look like they were developed in a photo lab. I've printed more than 300 photos and the quality of the print is the same as the very first picture. I love all the features of the printer especially the Disney borders.
Summary: This is a great printer. I have used it several times and it makes great pictures. I had some pictures taken at a low resolution and the print still turned out looking great. Tried this on a regular printer and the print didn't look near as great. A great feature is proof sheet print of the pictures you have. You can also add a border to your pictures which makes things nice for postcards. Colors are great and vivid.
Summary: We love this photo printer....the price is good, the results are fabulous, and the supplies are very reasonably priced. One little glitch i noticed is that after a period of down time - for us about 2 months during which we didn't use it - the prints were not clear. I had it do a clean-the-nozzles (i forget what it's called officially) and then the prints were absolutely clear again. Very easy to use right out of the box, and the menus are easy to understand.
