Four Stars

  • Summary: Only drawback is purchasing ink without the paper. You end up with more paper than you need.

Love the Printer but Beware of False Error Messages

KDF, Amazon
12 January 2015
  • Summary: First, I love this printer. It is easy to use and works well. Sometimes, if printing a lot of pictures at once, it can act up, but otherwise, it is very good. Now, for my warning that will save people money. About a year ago, my Charm stopped printing pictures saying something about the ink not functioning correctly anymore and I couldn't do anything with the printer -- it completely froze (it was a long time ago so I can't remember the exact message).

allow lots of time to print!

Kristi, Epson
14 October 2014
  • Summary: I am an event planner and I purchased this printer to use on site at an event where I took a photo of the guests with the host as they came in. My goal was to then print the photos, put them in a paper frame, then have the photos available for them to take home at the end of the night. The description says that it only takes 37 seconds to print per photo but what they don't tell you is there is significant lag time between each print.

I changed my mind!!

NicG "NicG", Amazon

  • Summary: I HAVE to revise my first impressions of this printer. I don't understand it but it seems even mechanical things have to get settled. This printer had settled. I still do not put more than one sheet of photo paper in it because the printer begins feeding the second sheet before the photo is completely printed. That messes up both sheets and is a waste. BUT!

Excellant quality

  • Summary: This does produce beautiful pictures but the ink cartage does not do enough pictures so I suggest that you order extra ink ahead of time. Using a lot of ink seems to be normal for these kinds of printers but when you consider the prints and what it takes to produce such wonderful prints it is kind of understandable.

great

blitzphoto, Epson

  • Summary: This is a great little printer I use it for shooting event / shows (photo booth style). I used to carry a generator and 4800. Now I use the battery for the 225 (charm) and laptop it works perfectly. A number of reviews claim there is no driver for Macs. This is 100% wrong, the driver is part of the OS now the same way it is for a many other Epson products it is preloaded, add printer, presto it is there.

Nice printer

steveflash, Epson

  • Summary: The Picturemate Charm prints great photos. It is excellent for use when you don't have a 110vac outlet when using a battery (purchased separately.) It prints quickly and the prints are very nice and make great keepsakes. There are two issues I wish Epson would address 1) You cannot delete pictures from a SD card inserted in the printer.

Great Little Machine

Denny, Epson
30 September 2013
  • Summary: I bought this as a gift for my wife and she loves it. The photo quality is great and it's easy to use. One caution though, don't put the paper in upside down. It takes forever to get things clean so it prints correctly again. Also it would be nice if you could buy the ink locally.

wonderful except for durability

beachrob, Epson

  • Summary: The PM225 is a wonderful printer. The color reproduction is most excellent. The prints are indeed smudge, water and fade resistant. The cost of a print is modest, especially considering the great quality.
