Excerpt: We purchased this Dot Matrix printer a few years ago to print occasional paperwork for a customer. It sat on a shelf for the majority of the time we owned it and only used it every 2-3 months. It quit working suddenly and we had to purchase another one due to the compatibility with the software we are using. We felt that for $320 it should have lasted longer, especially since we used it infrequently.
Summary: I've been using this printer for many years, but it seems like lately they've been breaking down a lot. I've replaced two this year, and the last one I purchases started squeaking while printing just two months after use. It seems like their build quality has degraded over the years.
Summary: We are a small office, a machine shop. We run 4 part invoices through this printer, it seems to handle them well. Since this is a machine shop there is a lot of dust/dirt flying around this is hard on electronics. I've been using this about 4 mos now and so far so good. I didn't give it 5 stars because I have had it jam up once and I'm hoping that wont be a problem. This is a network printer and I have to say setting it up was simple, simple.
