Excerpt: Plus: 1. Produces good quality photographic prints & excellent quality b/w plain paper printouts, higher quality than my Brother monochrome laser. 2. Wireless setup was painless. Setup on other computers on the same network was even easier. Minus: 1. Large foot print. But that was known prior to purchase because it has wide format capabilities. 2. Uses copious amounts of ink. Replacing all cartridges at once would cost $127.00+ at Epson's SRP.
Summary: This is the first time we have purchased a printer strictly for our use to print our picutres. Imagine how disappointed we were when the pictures came out with several horizontal bars (slightly different color tones) and the picture shows as slightly overexposed. If we do not get resolution to this problem we will take it back to the dealer and request our money back.
Excerpt: For one thing, I didn't check paper types carefully enough and it won't print on vellum. Another is I din't realize it doesn't scan and the photos aren't that great. I've gotten better pictures on less expensive printers. I bought it primarily for my scrapbooking but I'm just not pleased with the performance and especially at this price.
Summary: Easy to hook up, prints simple files cleanly, cannot handle large files well at allu2026banding, ghosting on photo images, etc. Cannot print solids what so everu2026banding through out. I am a graphic designer working with large illustrator C6 files, and I am very disappointed with the print quality of 50% of what I have run through.
