Excerpt: I bought this new on Amazon. Attempting to install to a Win 7 Ultimate, 64bit machine. USB 2.0 port right off of the motherboard. Downloaded v8.5.1 and installed the software. It installed, but when I click the icon to run it, it tries to launch for maybe 1 second then nothing happens.
Excerpt: very disappointed that this printer didn't work with my Mac. This would have been good to know, but in the listing it said it was compatible. Got it in the mail installed it into my Mac and it never worked.
Excerpt: I bought the product and spent hours on hours trying to install it. Finally had to contact Customer Support. Only to find out that it doesn't work with Windows 8. REALLY? Win8 has been out for over a year. They did tell me that they "thought" they would be updating their drivers in a few weeks.
Excerpt: Thank God for Office Depot Returns! We used this as a name tag printer for one of our events, and have been trying to use them to print on-site name badges for a while. This is our 3rd printer purchase, and it died after using it once :(.
Excerpt: Thought this would be a good purchase, but machine james or labels feed continuously. Consequently, I nearly used the whole roll of labels. I couldn't return this item fast enough. What a waste of time.
Excerpt: This is the worst piece of equipment in our office. It jams constantly, form feeds too many labels, the tape that came in the box jammed the printer. We have gone through three of these and they are constantly breaking down. Guys from the help desk do not want to deal with this printer anymore..
Excerpt: It took many months for the Act!2010 driver to be released in the US. Now, 3 months after that, there is no driver for non-US Act!2010 users - crazy given there are 2.8million of us. I bought on the marketing that it was Act! compatibile - but its not, now its an expensive paperweight.
Summary: I've been calling Dymo for years and asking them to fix their software, but the American support representative that receives my call doesn't sound very caring or committal when I give her my complaints.
