Too many parts missing

BART "BART", Amazon
16 December 2013
  • Summary: Product not usable had too many parts missing, no instructions, no software no power cord, and other unknown parts missing. As of 1 January 2014 I have not received credit for returning this item nor any other information. As of 8 January 2014 I have not received credit for returning this item nor any other information. I am beginning to assume that the whole transaction is a scam.

DYMO/Endicia/Newell Rubbermaid RIP OFF!!!

James L. Coker "Thriving on KAOS", Amazon
29 July 2013
  • Summary: Please... save yourself some aggravation and DO NOT purchase this printer. It will print labels but if you are wanting to print stamps with it, you will be immediately trapped into having to upgrade the printer. This is a rip-off. If you believe the description that you are able to print DYMO stamps, you will not be able to. You will either have to pay a monthly subscription fee or pay for another upgrade and who knows what else.

Cannot use for postage for free. Disceptive advertising.

David G, Amazon
12 July 2013
  • Summary: Do not purchase this item unless you want to either pay a monthly fee or purchase their overpriced Dymo brand labels. Despite the description, you CANNOT use generic labels unless you sign up for a monthly plan. If you have any doubts about this I invite you to look at the Endicia page on Facebook. I will be going back to using forever stamps starting today.

Bait and switch

flyrod, Amazon
2 July 2013
  • Summary: Forced to use only their stamp labels which cost 10 cents each plus the cost of actual postage you want to print. The cost for third party labels is less than 1 cent each. Buyer beware...

Look Elsewhere

Joan K. Baldwin, Amazon
29 October 2012
  • Summary: I have five label printers, three are DYMO. That is about two too many. DYMO's paper labels work well for quick and dirty jobs. They fade rapidly in sunlight, so they cannot be considered for durability in daylight. That is why I ordered a DYMO Duo. It has vinyl tapes in addition to paper tape. The vinyl labels are durable. The problem, though, is DYMO's implementation. Their tape drive is obtuse and unreliable.

GREAT LITTLE LABEL MAKER

Gravey, Amazon
6 July 2012
  • Summary: I think Amazon received a bad batch of these. I just received my second one which has the same problem. Put the tape in and it feeds out a little and won't cut. Now the tape is stuck and you can't cycle the cutter or anything to get the tape cassette out. The factory is going to send me another one. We have a 400 Dymo Lable/Tape writer Duo and we like it very much. Hopefully the 3rd 450Duo will work for us. ??? I'll follow this up when I receive it.

Don't buy DYMO

Nathan, Staples
24 February 2011
  • Excerpt: The printer works great BUT the rub comes with the company. They do NOT update the drivers when the operating systems upgrade. I have over sixty Labelwriter Turbos that are working great but they stopped being supported with MacOS X 10.3.9. They do NOT work with 10.4 or above. DYMO says that Staples is offering a discount on newer models. That's just great... NOT.Stay away from DYMO. If they can't support their products then they don't deserve our business.
  • Pros: Durable, Quiet, Simple Controls, Works Quickly
