Summary: As a long-time Dell customer, I bought 2 of these Dell V715w All-in-one wireless printers directly from Dell as part of a promotion a few years ago. While 1 printer has been mostly error-free (the upper tray feeder no longer seems to work), the other unit has been a real LEMON!
Initially reasonable, poor investment, high maintenance

Summary: We HAD this printer two years.Although initially this was reasonable, it is high cost to maintain. The printhead needed replacement and broke so am trashing it before making another wasteful investment. The ink is expensive and hardly prints any sheets. It needs to be replaced quite regularly.
Summary: I've had this unit for four years now and can remember when it was pretty much top-of-the-line and one of the earlier wireless models. Everything worked pretty well for the first year but calling it an "ink hog" would be insulting the pig.
Summary: This printer was fine when it was new. But each set of ink that I buy last less and less. I turns out that there's plenty of ink, but it seems like the software is written to get you to buy more ink. $40 for a new set of ink and it only lasts a couple months of light printing.
Summary: I can't stand this thing. You hit color...it prints black and white, hit b/w and out comes color. Want to print in B/W well it's out of color so you can't. It uses a cartridge about every 20 sheets of paper. Want to scan something? Well it wants to eat the third page. Need to print?
Summary: I'm literally throwing it away. It was given to me because the previous owner (client of mine) thought it was junk.. I thought I could use it and it was user error, but it's simply junk. I'm a programmer. I'm very tech savvy, and this is hands down the worst printer I've ever used.
Summary: Ink can only be purcheased from Dell and they have a computer chip in them if you try to use other ink with it. May work for a little bit but then says it's empty and won't print with generic brands. Can't refill because the chip says empty so same problem.
