Summary: This printer is constantly screwed up and drinks ink. If we can get 2 pages completed without problems we feel very lucky. Save your money and your temper and buy something else. If possible I would give it no stars.
Summary: The wireless internet connect easily to this printer and that is the only thing that has actually worked with it. I have had two in the last 12-months (warrenty replacement) and both have been junk. Stay away. Printheads have gone out and the document feeders have broken.
Summary: This is the most frustrating printer I have ever owned. At least 100 gremlins lurk inside it's evil body. Once you get the wireless to work, don't ever shut it down or attempt to change any settings. I have spent hours trying to get it to communicate with the computer only to have it start working as mysteriously as it quit. All paper-feed function will jam for no apparent reason at a rate of one jam per ten feeds.
Summary: I have owned this printer for over a year. We very seldom use it and still cant afford to keep putting ink cartridges in it. Will print a dozen pages max on a single ink cartridges. Even in black and white. Complete waste of money!
Summary: I bought two of these turkeys. In both cases, I kept getting printhead errors and the printheads failing. My previous printer was a Dell A940 printer that served me beautifully for years, but it was not compatible with Windows 7, so I needed a new one. I figured I was in good hands getting another Dell, seeing as the A940 served me so well and was so economical with ink. What a mistake. I wouldn't wish them on anyone, so I dropped them both off at a recycle center.
Summary: Of all of the printers I have owned over the last 25 years, this one is the WORST. When I first started researching it, there were good and bad reviews. Don't believe the good ones, or at least consider the fact that it got a good review to be the exception, not the norm. And they are right, it does guzzle ink.
Summary: If you are looking for a printer to print photos, avoid this printer. It does suck ink like there's no tomorrow... I had it for a year now and never printed a decent photo. I had several problems with it. Avoid at all cost. I like DELL but this printer is the worse.
Summary: I wrote a positive review on Dell.com a couple months after buying this printer, but Dell does not allow you to change your review or create a new review for the same product, which is quite sneaky. My biggest complaint is that the printer cartridges dry out in no time, and you can't print anything unless both cartridges have ink. Even if the print job and default print settings are set to black and white only, it won't print without color ink. Also very sneaky.
Summary: I would talk about some nice features of this printer but I can't due to the breathtaking greed and shambolic ink features of this model. My unit currently has very low ink in the black cartridge and almost a full colour cartridge. I have set my programming to 'use colour ink only', yet the damn thing refuses to print without me replacing the black cartridge. This is daylight robbery.
