Summary: POS printer.. I've had this for a few years and I'm throwing it away. Print quality was never as good as an ink jet. Duplex printing worked the first time and then jams from now on. Dell discontinued this almost as soon as it was produced. Typical of Dell?
Summary: This refurb printer lasted less than 6 weeks. It stopped picking up paper from the tray, does not recognize the level of toner in the cartridge, and will randomly decide it takes an hour to print. Certainly didn't get our moneys worth for this one.
Summary: Purchased this printer over a year ago.... started printed 5-6 pages at once with jibberish on the first page only. Called Tech Support, was told the only that can be done was to buy a new printer since it was a mechanical problem. Apparently Dell is only making products that last a year. Will never buy from them again.
Summary: I bought the Dell 1720dn laser printer because it was recommended by Consumer Reports. Lasted a little more than a year when paper started to jam very often. Also other problems--spewed out many sheets with only top line printed in gibberish. Dell customer support said my one year warranty had recently expired and I should have bought an extended warranty because this is a low-end product.
