Summary: Had this for 10 months. What a great printer. I just bought my first toner cartridge(Black). it had 2200 pages printed so far. I purchased an aftermarket toner, I cannot tell the difference. Blazing fast and crisp looking printouts . I would buy another Dell printer if this one keeps on doing this kind of job. The description says 1200 x 1200! I dont think it is.
Excerpt: I was doubtful about this purchase since the duplex model was so much less in price than the single side model.<br />So far I've run plain paper through the duplex without jamming. I've also printed on card stock through the MPF without issues.<br />My only issue at present is that you must remember which edge of the paper you want it to flip" on depending on the type of document – long or short edge.
Summary: I realize this runs counter to the other reviews and I can't explain the difference. I bought mine from direct from Dell in November of 2012 and have never had one problem. We bought it primarily for the duplex ability with occasional color printer. It has done both without even one paper jam after untold number of reams of paper. Everyone here in our office would recommend buying it again.
Excerpt: This printer is smaller than my last Dell laser printer - nice benefit. I like that it does double sided copies without having to flip the paper and can print on card stock using the regular tray rather than the MPF tray. Only used it for a week now, but works well and was easy to learn how to use.
Pros: Accurate Colors, Efficient, Fast, Quiet, Sharp Detail
Adorama Camera...a REAL pain to deal with. AND...it's a problem-prone printer.

Summary: First...the printer started giving me the paper jams warned about by other owners. I should have heeded the prior customer's warnings. Second...After trying to get service for the printer, Dell told me the printer I had purchased from Adorama as new, had an expired warranty. It had been registered over a year prior to my purchase. Third...Adorama tried to charge me a $123.38 for a restocking fee. It took me 31 emails, over four weeks, to FINALLY get my full refund.
Summary: This is by far the worst business-class printer I've ever worked with. The quality of the construction is abyssal. The paper size guides in the tray wore out in less than 2 months and now just free float around, causing us to spend about 10 minutes playing with it every time we put more paper in the printer. Then 4 months after we purchased it, the automatic and manual feeder stopped properly drawing up the paper, causing the printer to give a paper jam error.
Summary: The overall quality of this printer is not good. There are a lot of loosing parts and the plastic is cheap and bends easily. I only used it a few times. Now, I add more paper and cannot put the paper tray back. It is just stuck in the middle. Have no clue what caused it. My terrible decision of switching to Dell.
Summary: UPDATE: After a few months, we began having issues with paper jamming in the rear of the printer. The paper would get stuck and rip between the feed tray and the back of the printer. Unlike the old HP's, this gives no access to clear the paper or service the rollers/components that would be causing the jam.

Summary: Der Drucker ist der Nachfolger meines Dell 3130 cn. Die gemachten Erfahrungen sprachen für den Dell-Drucker. Mit einer Einschränkung, die ich aber in Kauf nehme. Die BIOS-Erneuerung zerstörte die Elektronik, so dass der Neukauf nach nur 2 1/2 Jahren notwendig wurde. Der Dell-Service sprach von einem irreparablen Fehler. Das Ersatzteil hätte dem Preis eines Neugerätes entsprochen. Daher: Im Zweifelsfall das BIOS nicht erneuern.
