Summary: Our school district purchased these for general office printing. First of all, all 4 toner cartridges must be inserted and have "life left" in order to print! I.E. if the cyan is out, I am unable to print anything in black and white until a new cartridge arrives. Also, the manual feed for certificates, etc. is LOUSY. It sucks envelopes and cardstock in at an odd angle, which jams nearly all of the time. The manual tray is basically a joke.
Summary: Clear, clean, full color laser prints. I expect the thru-put to be sufficient for my small office needs. Only minor drawback is the Single Sheet Feed is just that, single sheet. It would be nice to be able to feed an alternate stock more than one sheet at a time without having to manipulate the one paper tray.
Summary: Great color laser printer with duplex. High quality prints. Photos are near framing quality. It is kind of loud when it turns on and not quite as loud while printing. The print quality and duplexing capabilities make it worth the noise though. Only comes with starter cartridges, not full ones.
Summary: The printer I received did not have the "optional" wireless module for the wireless port. The printer prints beautiful pictures, but if you are looking for a wireless printer, look elsewhere. Someone has crafted another "bait and switch" scheme.
Summary: While this printer is fast, and printing results are good most of the time, it has some problems. I've had this printer for 6 months, and it has begun leaving smudge marks at page tops when I print large jobs, and yesterday I noticed that it is starting to leave other smudges in middle of the pages. Also, colors are not as sharp as I would like. Yes, it was a good price, but now I wish I had taken my $300 and put it toward a better quality printer.
Summary: The quality of the printing is excellent. I couldn't be happier with that - however - every few weeks I have to uninstall and reinstall the software because my computer (running Windows 7) will show that the printer is printing but then nothing happens. I don't know if this is a glitch with the software, my computer, or the router. That is yet to be determined. Re-installation, while a hassle, is a small hassle compared with the quality of the printing.
Summary: This thing is mediocre. We bought it to replace a previous dell. It often has issues and beeps at us. It requires a lot of interaction if you change paper or a setting. And it appears to be slowly melting on the inside. So yes it's cheap and mostly gets the job done but everyone in your office may be upset with you for buying it. It seemed to get yelled at a lot in ours.
Summary: I chose this printer over some others because alternative toner is available at a substantial discount compared to Dell brand toner. It prints pretty well. Every printer seems to have a disadvantage. For this one, it's the single sheet paper feed. Cover stock doesn't work in the main tray, so if you intend to print on anything besides paper, be ready to stand there and feed it. You also have to be careful to feed the paper straight. The guides are inadequate.
Summary: This printer has several problems that were never addressed in any of the reviews that I read of it. 1. The print quality is far less than that of HP. 2. The printer needs to be shut off and back on again when printing anything larger than a small document. I print Veteran's Day and Christmas Cards. Usually one hundred at a time. That's two hundred full color pages. The problem is with the print drivers.
