Summary: Gave this little printer to my parents to print pictures of their grandchildren. They are not tech savvy at all and they had no problems using this printer. Quality and print speed is good. The gears inside are very noisy though, hope it lasts. In my experience anything that has lots of gears and such won't last long. It is very entertaining to watch the machine spin the paper around though. Negative is that you can't really find the paper anywhere but online.
Summary: Either I have missed something or this printer does NOT offer any REAL TIME PREVIEW of the many adjustments you can make to an image in PRINT SETTINGS. This means that I can increase or decrease the contrast, brightness, saturation, etc. BUT I cannot see the effect this will have on the image BEFORE I PRINT IT! This is simply LUDICROUS and RIDICULOUS since I am NOT about to print an image 5-6 times to see what the best settings are for that particular shot!
Summary: Bought one for my mom and girlfriend. My girlfriend and I had a pretty easy time of setting it up and printing our first picture. My mom (60's) however didn't have as easy of a time. I walked her through printing a picture over the phone so I don't know what she did, but ended up with the same picture 3 times. But, I'm sure had I been there she would have had an easier time of working it. It is pretty simple.
Summary: I bought this out of curiosity, since I already have a good quality inkjet printer. It was on sale for $50, so there was not too much to lose. I have to say I really like this little printer. Unlike an inkjet, there is no need to use it once a week just to ensure it will work properly when needed. The ink and paper are packaged as a unit, so as long as you have paper, you know you have adequate ink to provide a photo.
very good photo quality, not so portable as it appears

Summary: The prints look just like the photos you get at a photo lab. A tad smaller, as many have said, maybe 1/8" narrower and 1/16" shorter than the standard 4x6. Quality-wise, vibrant color and good detail, just as a lab print. Photos are coated with a waterproof and UV-resistant layer. Cost, ~26 cents a photo (or a bit more if you take printer cost into account, which you should), worth the convenience. The paper/ink kit to buy is Canon E-P100 with two 50-page cartridges.
