Summary: I ordered and paid for a Canon SELPHY DS810 Photo Printer through Ritz Camera and received the usual multiple emails thankin me for my order, informing me that my printer "has been shipped," and then "your order has been cancelled" because the item was no longer available. Hmmm... So which is it?
Summary: I purchased this printer last week, I have about 200 pictures to print from a family vacation. I was able to print about 100 pictures, for the price of the printer, the pictures were not half bad!! I needed to purchase new cartridges.
Summary: The printing quality is good, but that's the only positive thing I can say. There's no place to leave paper in the printer, the indicator about which side of the paper to have in the "up" position is misleading, leading two a complete mess as you waste ink printing the wrong side of the paper.
Summary: POOR DETAIL/BAD COLORS/PRINTS BETTER DETAIL AND COLORS WITH HP AND KODAK PAPER, BUT PRINTS SMEARS WITH THESE BECAUSE PAPER CAN'T DRY FAST ENOUGH.MUST USE CANON PAPER WITH THE POOR RESULTS.RETURNED AND GOT AN HP INSTEAD WORKS EXCELLENT.IF SIZE IS NOT A FACTOR BUY A FULL SIZE PHOTOPRINTER.
Excerpt: The Selphy DS810 provides good image results for the price (I paid $20 / £10 new). The quality of the photo paper makes quite a difference to the final printed results. With good quality paper it looks like a professional print. The preview LCD is very cheap and low quality, but it is functional.
Pros: Cost, image quality
Cons: Expensive prints, PC print settings are tricky, poor LCD preview screen
