Summary: I bought this for my mother, but it was easy to setup and perform a test print, which came out clear and within a reasonable time. Still a bit loud, you can hear it int he next room. I like that this model has more interface options for memory cards than the older model we used to have.
Summary: We ordered this printer for the purpose of making a photo guest book for a large family gathering. By switching out memory cards, we were able to continuously take and print photos of those in attendance and glue them to scrapbook pages. Our guests were able to sign their pages and add their greetings and well wishes. It was fun for everyone in attendance and the end result was impressive.
Summary: I bought the Canon Selphy printer for my wife and she likes it because it is small, portable (mostly), and can be used with or without a computer. Also, I found that the price at Amazon was the cheapest on the market. Other firms were charging up to $20 more. The only disadvantage that I can see is that the printer requires its own paper; however, that is not a problem because you can either buy the paper and cartridge kit in a local electronics store or order from...
Summary: The printer seems great for printing from digital cameras, and it's easy to take with you and set up anywhere. If you're printing from a Mac, you might have some problems. The software that comes with the printer is very basic and has given us some problems (some photos have printed more than once by mistake), and we haven't found a way to print from our MacBook Pro without the included software.
Summary: Ok, I like this little thing. I used to have the Kodak G600 photo printer and have been looking for one like it since. This is pretty much the same thing. With the Kodak printer you had to have a Kodak camera, with the dock for the pinter. You would use the back of the camcera, the view screen to look at the menue. But it made really good photo's, fast that were laminted afterwards so they wouldn't smudge.
Summary: I bought this printer for "grandma" so she could print pictures of her grandkids. She just got a digital camera and needed something to print out the pictures. She says she is electronic challenged. I set it up for her and showed her how to print pictures. She started printing and used up the five cards/pictures she got with the system without any help. I had to run to the store to get more paper/cartridges.
Summary: Although I've only had my Canon Selphy CP780 Compact Photo Printer a couple months, it's worked really well. I enjoy being able to print just what I want off the memory chip, and when I want to do it. Much better than standing in line at a store and being rushed by the next customer. I wish it was a little faster, but It's a keeper.
