  • Conclusion: Canon's top-of-the-line desktop photo printer does a great job with graphics and with most photos, but it's notably slow.
  • Pros: High-quality color photos and graphics. Maximum 13-by-19-inch paper size. Various fine-art papers available.
  • Cons: Slow.

Canon Pixma Pro9500 review

expertreviews.co.uk
3 January 2008
  • Excerpt: The Canon Pixma Pro9500 sits at the head of one table in this Labs, but unfortunately it's the price table. At a smidgen under £500 it's the most expensive model here, so it's going to have to perform very well to take the honour of Labs Best. From the outside it looks exactly like and feels the same as it's stablemate, the Pro9000. The construction is sturdy and the plastics are reassuring, but as with the Pro9000 the rear paper tray is a bit flimsy for our liking.

Canon Pixma Pro9500

PhotoReview

  • Summary: A pigment-ink version of Canon's popular Pixma Pro9000 A3+ printer (reviewed in issue 31).It's taken roughly 18 months for Canon to bring the Pixma Pro9500 printer to the market, which is surprising as so much of it is identical to the Pixma Pro9000, which launched in October 2006. However, the new model uses a completely different ink set that comprises 10 pigment-based ink cartridges, while the Pro9000 has eight dye-based inks.
