Excerpt: Only rating 4 stars because I've had it less than a month and I've no idea of print yield, and printhead clogging if any. Staples ship to store is a great service. Arrived when expected in perfect condition. I was most interested in printing photographs, particularly Black and White. If you print your BW priints using Photoshop in grayscale mode, you will not be dissapointed!
Excerpt: Not only was the Staples price for this printer the lowest I could find, it's the best photo printer I've ever owned. I finally wore out my older Canon Mark II printer so wanted to remain with a Canon printer and am glad I did.I use an Epson for my correspondence printing but not for photos. The quality of this Pro-1oo couldn't be any better and the results are prefect.
Excerpt: We got this printer to replace a seven year old Canon Pixma 6000-D & have been impressed. Though I miss the auto-duplex of the Pixma, that is all. The print quality is fantastic, whether its graphics on plain paper or pictures on photo paper. WOW - this is a serious printer & the pricing was great. Balanced tones and vivid colors with great paper handling make this a dream printer for a home user and photo enthusiast. Word of caution - it's HUGE!!
Pros: Good Paper Handling, Great Picture Quality, Solid construction
Summary: Not as adept at printing black and white photos as i had hoped. Color printing seems okay. The blacks in the color prints do fine. Printing the sRGB gamut images is what it does best. Have yet to get adobe RGB to print with consistancy. Speed is great. Ink levels do ok for 8.5 x 11. Printing 13 x 19 with high quality selected can drain them pretty fast as expected, with such low capacity inks. Overall pleased, just disappointed with the lack of deep blacks.
