Summary: Probably one of the most confusing printers to operate. For spending this much money Canon apparently doesn't care much about the end user. Diagnosing error codes is an absolute joke! If you get one you have to literally COUNT the flashes of the error lamp THEN you have to bring up the PDF manual (NO BOOK unless you want to print the whole thing) and look to see what that count of flashes means.
After several months, not worth the money and the cost of the ink.

Summary: I have had this printer now for several months and primarily print photos of various sizes through photoshop and documents. Although it does print outstanding BW photos, I am less enthused about the color. I find the color prints to be be darker and less saturated than the photos appear on my computer screen within photoshop.
Summary: I purchased this printer to replace my i9900 that went on the blink after several years of really nice prints. Having read mostly positive reviews and given my previous success with the Canon i9900, I decided on the Pixma Pro-10. In my opinion, it uses too much ink for the number of photos printed and is horribly slow. It is mine now, for better or worse, but had I known these things beforehand, I'd have purchased another printer.
Summary: Initially when I bought this printer I was very impressed with the image quality. Over the year that I have owned it, however, I have started to notice that there are a lot of things about this printer that I really greatly dislike. 1. It prints way too dark. I have downloaded profiles and calibrated my brains out - there is nothing to do except manually adjust the brightness of prints in Photoshop. If you forget, you will end up with dark prints.
Summary: It is not straightforward to start it when new cartridges have been inserted. It makes a lot of different kinds of noise when it adjusts to the new cartridges. It cannot print easily onto thicker matte paper. The images are dull.
Summary: The printer works fine after you get it set up. The documentation leaves a lot to be desired. The software that came with the printer is terrible. It takes forever to perform even the smallest task.
Summary: I am a photo & graphic design student and I do a lot of printing. This printer does reproduce colors accurately as the on-screen monitor (once calibrated). If you use Pantone swatches and use the CMYK codes, this printer is pretty identical---which is awesome! Photo prints look wonderful and colors are well saturated. My only complaint is that this is not a great product in the long run.
Summary: Got it for a bargain price with extra ink and a Spyder monitor calibration system. Have tried using Canon and FotoSpeed papers, even though I am using a profiled monitor and genuine inks everything is coming out darker than on screen. Seems this is a known issue. Shame.
Summary: C'est une très bonne imprimante en terme de qualité et de vitesse d'impression, mais je suis déçu par le respect du contraste des photos. Malgré tous les réglages possibles et les profils ICC, les photos sont à 80% trop sombres.
