ink tanks too small

MikeL, B&H Photo
7 December 2015
  • Excerpt: This printer works fine and prints excellent photographs but I have found it to use ink very fast. The tanks are small and it seems every time I need to print something one or more of the tanks are empty.
  • Pros: Accurate Colors, Easy Setup, Easy To Use, Great Contrast, Great Overall Quality, Reliable, Sharp Tones & Colors
  • Cons: Large Footprint, Pricey Ink Replacement, Too much ink used

Quality is excellent but way slow for any production work

Doug Scott, Amazon
17 July 2015
  • Summary: It is large and heavy and prints very slowly. Quality is excellent but way slow for any production work. Going to have to find something faster so a bit disappointing.

Beautiful Prints, Worthless Wireless

Sal, B&H Photo
18 June 2015
  • Excerpt: I use this professionally, to create prints and other printed material. I've found the print quality to be excellent. Unfortunately, the wireless functionality is extremely undependable, causing much wasted time and ink.
  • Pros: Great Picture Quality

Okay

jones, B&H Photo
28 December 2014
  • Excerpt: I use my printer primarily to print art and although this seems to be a reliable printer mechanically, the color and clarity of prints is not as good as my old HP Photosmart, which was about half the price, but is no longer available.
  • Pros: Durable, Easy to Use, Ink Goes A Long Way
  • Cons: Big Foot Print, Color Quality Is Muddy, Very heavy

The meter is running

blekenbleu, B&H Photo
24 December 2014
  • Excerpt: Once this printer has been fired up, 10 cartridges get busy drying out. In other words, this printer becomes insanely expensive for only occasional use. Some folks dislike pigment inks; it is generally easier to print and sell dye ink prints, because of dyes' larger color gamut.
  • Pros: 13
  • Cons: Bulky, Demanding, Expensive Prints

Canon Printer

CLB, B&H Photo
11 November 2014
  • Excerpt: This printer has its pros and con's and if I were to to a printer now I would not buy this one because one major con - there are no xl sized ink tanks for this printer. The ink uses up extremely quickly and since there are only standard sized ink tanks the prints end up being pretty expensive for...

Unreasonable price tag and poor features

T. Toland, Amazon
16 July 2014
  • Summary: Initially when I bought this printer I was very impressed with the image quality. Over the year that I have owned it, however, I have started to notice that there are a lot of things about this printer that I really greatly dislike. 1. It prints way too dark.

I am mostly satisfied with my purchases.

Konrad J. Perlman, Amazon
15 December 2013
  • Summary: It is not straightforward to start it when new cartridges have been inserted. It makes a lot of different kinds of noise when it adjusts to the new cartridges. It cannot print easily onto thicker matte paper. The images are dull.

Ok printer.

E. Penn, Amazon
17 November 2013
  • Summary: I purchased this printer to replace my i9900 that went on the blink after several years of really nice prints. Having read mostly positive reviews and given my previous success with the Canon i9900, I decided on the Pixma Pro-10.
