Summary: It's a printer. Pictures print out nice. Scanner scans well. I'm not particularly an enthusiast for this stuff but for a casual user it works well. Using windows 7 and has worked great for it.
Summary: This a good printer, but like a lot of printers, the ink is expensive. The software was easy to install and it has not caused any issues with my Windows 7. The printing quality is good. I have owned several HP printers, and I had problems with them, so I tried this printer. I like it. If the ink was cheaper, I would love it.

Summary: This a great printer/scanner. For the price, great capabilities from this unit. Be advised that the included black ink cartridge is a 'starter' and doesn't have the ink capability of other retail offerings.
Summary: Worth every penny; the Canon Pixma is compact and ready to use for someone who does not use printers alot. It was easy to install and gives wonderful copies each time; I also dropped it onto the floor by accident and it work fine, so it is very durable as well.
Summary: This is a surprisingly good combination printer/scanner/copier for the money, and it is an excellent choice for most home users, so I am basing my review and star rating on that basis. It's very good for printing nice vacation or family pictures or making greeting cards or such. You can do nice borderless prints up to 8.5 x 11 inches.
Summary: It took about 15 minutes to set-up in Ubuntu. Just download a linux driver for the machine and it should work. You can find a driver by simply Googling "mp280 Ubuntu driver." One note; when I installed the driver it said the process failed. Well, it did not. I just opened my system settings and found "Canon mp280" listed and ready to go. The scanner function works fine.
