Summary: Printer had internal printing defects-same defect copying (garbled lines every 3-4 lines & uneven lines). Could not meet 2 dayreturn conditions as printer could not print return labels properly. Junked MP280 and bought a new printer. Learned a lesson-don't buy used tech online!
Summary: This printer is ideal for daily use. It scans, prints and copies with detail. Uses a lot of ink but Canon ink can be refilled almost anywhere. I bought mine at Walmart for $29.99, new in the box and was shocked when I saw the Amazon price. Also the MP280 is not the latest model and the latest model, same basic features is also $29.99 at Walmart. I only bought it because it was cheaper than buying ink and came with its own ink cartridges.
Summary: I bought one of these for my mother for Christmas, and she absolutely loved it. So I had to buy one for myself. And bingo, I love it too. Just a really good all in one printer. Great print outs, easy to work with, and of course Canon quality.
Summary: This Canon customer has lost complete faith in making any further purchases from Canon, (2) this customer will tell everyone he knows via Facebook, comments at Amazon, ect. ect., to get the word out that Canon Printers with scanners will be unusable if the scanner goes out. When a scanner does go out, the printer is inoperable due to the error code status of the machine and no printing is possible, even though the printer works fine and you can even print test patterns.
Summary: SO I BOUGHT THIS PRINTER A YEAR AGO AT OFFICE MAX. i UNDERSTAND THE PRINTER WAS NOT BOUGH OFF AMAZON, BUT IT IS STILL A REVIEW! A FEW THINGS TO NOTE BEFORE BUYING- THE PRINTER RUNS THE INK FAST BECAUSE THE CARTRIDGES ARE SMALL, IF YOU BUY THE XL THEY WILL LAST LONGER THE PRINTERS CARTRIDGES WILL NOT WORK EVEN WHEN REFILLED, THE CARTRIDGE HAS A CHIP THAT MONITORS THE LEVELS OF INK, AND WHEN REFILLED, THE CHIP STILL MARKS EMPTY.
Summary: Length:: 5:59 Mins I have 3 of these printers. They are 2 years old and get heavy duty use. I work out of my home and do lots of printing for different companies.. Sometimes i go though 300 dollars of ink a month. If you can get one of these printers to have a paper jam, well i don't know how you can do it. The scanner software is just great. Public demand has driven the price up. When i bought mine i paid 30.00 dollars for them new.
Summary: Printer worked for about 1 month, print/scan quality was fine. After this it stopped working with some "USB not recognised" error. I tried reinstalling the drivers but it didn't help. Only the photocopy functionality still works, as that doesn't require the USB. This would be a 1 star review if were not for the fact that it was very cheap. You get what you pay for I suppose.
Summary: I was so delighted with my Canon PIXMA MP250 printer, that I bought this one to keep in reserve -- or until I run out of ink for my present HP printer. I've been disappointed when a manufacturer discontinues a product, so I got this one just in case. But my review would be just as positive, since the MP250 is performing so well.
Summary: We bought this printer about 8 months ago, and for a few months, it did exactly what an all-in-one should do: decent printing, good copying and scanning. Recently, however, the printer part has blurred and skipped, and despite repeated head-cleanings and such as recommended by the manufacturer, it's now unusable as a printer. Fortunately, we didn't pay a lot for it, but I'm still disappointed. A printer shouldn't be quite so short-lived and disposable.
