Summary: I've owned this printer for just over 2 years and every time I use it, I get frustrated with something. I don't have much good to say about it accept possibly the looks and it appears to have a good amount of features...even though I don't use any of them. The wireless seems to work OK with some of my computers but not others. Why?? No idea. All computers are Apple and recognize the printer the same.
Summary: Needed a rear tray for delicate print work. Does the job really well, but every once in awhile will stop to do around 3 minutes of maintenance during a print job and you have to wait. But other than that, it's exactly what I needed!
Summary: My Pixma MG6120 didn't work any longer and needed to purchase another printer. This was actually a better price than purchasing another 6120. It's a great printer! It's very quiet, easy to install, WiFi works great. If I could change anything it would be the speed of scanning a document at 600 dpi.
Nice Prints and Functionality but Expensive and Shortlived Ink
5 April 2014
Summary: I have used this printer for at least a year and have been pleased with the quality of the prints as well as the scanning features. The print speed is reasonable. Both the wireless and ethernet works quite well. It shows up as an airprint printer for all of my iOS devices. So why the 2 star rating? Quite frankly, this printer could drive you into bankruptcy. The ink is not cheap and I have constantly had to replace at least one of the ink cartridges every 20 pages or so.
OK if you want to spend $50 on ink every two months
Missing The Mountains, Amazon

Summary: All of the other reviews about this thing BLOWING through ink because of the constant cleaning cycles are accurate. I literally never actually print in colored ink-- my default is always set to black & white. Yet every two months I am somehow out of colored ink again (and I even tried the tips in the other reviews regarding turning off the sleep mode, etc.
Summary: This printer is awful. I've had 2 other Canon printers and I loved them. This one is terrible. It doesn't stay connected to my wireless network. I have to continually re-set it up. It's extremely slow printing, going through countless shimmies and shakes before printing. The extra ink adds zero difference to photos or color documents. Spend your money on another printer.
Summary: Finally hooked this up and this printer is very nice.I love the fact that the door will automatically open(I had it shut)when it prints even if I forgot it was closed.Still trying to get every PC to find it,but that is a very minor problem and more than not a software/driver issue.A family members IPad found it immediately on the WLAN and this printer really makes beautiful pages.I would recommend this one.
Summary: My pervious Canon went down after 3 years and even though I can repair it, It was better to buy these MG line since they do have a rear feeding slot that the newer line does not. When you want to print on a heavier stock, the new ones do not measure up to the task: no rear feeding. Unfortunately, Canon decided to omit the rear tray/feeding slot in the newer models. Not a good decision.
Summary: This printer has been troublesome from the start for us. The wireless doesn't always work, and if the printer isn't "awake" it never works. Other printers I've had wake up when needed. Also, it is now broken just a year later. I've not used Canon before and thinking I won't be in the future. I see the reviews overall are great, so hoping this is an isolated case, but I'll be going back to other printer manufacturers.
