Summary: I have had this for 2 years. Though it works perfectly - i will be changing to another brand of printer just due to how quickly the ink runs out with this printer. Its always the gray that runs out first, and you can't print using the other colors, until you purchase a new gray ink. I work in an office, order supplies, copiers and printers for our office - so i know how to handle a printer (settings, etc.
We hated this printer. It was a total waste of money

Summary: This is the worst printer we've ever used. I paid more then I would have to get a good printer and we've had nothing but trouble with it. It stopped working all together after printing less than 200 pages all together from the time we got it. The ink is expensive, I have $50+ worth of ink in it now and it will not run at all even to just scan something to your computer and not print, it simply won't run.
Pros: It looks great
Cons: It never worked right from the start. Nothing but trouble.
Summary: This is my second Canon Pixma. I was devastated when I learned I needed a new printer head because I had just bought new ink and that was a big investment. I tried to find a new head but learned it was less expensive to just buy a new printer. I have always had HP's but I love this Canon printer for its ease and user friendly approach. This may be my last model Pixma as there were not many when I bought this replacement.
Summary: Canon is very circumspect about what features are included in their "all-in-one" machines. One has to read their various levels of product descriptions to learn that what you are looking for isn't listed & therefore is not a feature of the machine vs. listing exactly & clearly what is included & I have learned that Canon's "all" is a limited word in their product development world. 'Could also be that the technology being sold is outdated.
Summary: I've had this printer for a while now and the current price is a lot less than I paid. I love the wireless feature that allows me to automatically print from any of my three computers regardless of where they are in the house. No problems with set-up. Print quality is great. My one major gripe is the location of the USB port. It is hidden and tucked away on the lower right of the device. It's impossible using the USB port with the printer in its normal position.
All in One Printer alright. It's all about the ink!!!

Summary: Pros: Great scanner, converts images to jpeg or pdf. The software that comes with it takes getting use to. Wish it was more simpler to use, but some of the functions actually is useful like scanning words to text for you to edit. Cons: *Takes about 1-2 minutes to print the first document after it does it's cleaning or whatever checking it's going through. *None of the functions will work unless the ink cartridges are in place with ink in it.
Summary: Normally I don't write harsh reviews but I have had enough with this printer. I have used many Canon printers before, but this is the first one that the ink will get depleted even if you have not been using it! The ink as it is, is already expensive enough. I would be okay if I am paying for consumption, but if I am also paying for time and I need to replace it every 3 months without even printing a single piece of photo, the math simply doesn't add up and I may as well...
Summary: The ink dries out really fast and you can't print black and white if any of the color ink tanks are empty. The wireless only works sometimes and is a hassle to set up. The print quality is fine. The printer itself is inexpensive. The duplex printing is slow but works fine. The printer takes a long time to warm up. I very much regret buying this printer. I wish I'd purchased a black and white laser printer instead.
Summary: The first ever product that I have bought from a well known brand that I would consider a scam. Never touch Canon again in any form.
Pros: Scanner is reasonable although problems using Bluetooth with Mac.
Cons: Cannot use scanner unless there is ink. Bought new printer but now have to pay 50 dollars for ink refill just to keep using as a scanner only. Will probably opt for buying a new scanner which is cheaper than an ink cartridge lasting 30 pages
