This is without a doubt the most INK hoggish printer ...

Lisa C. Cowden, Amazon
11 January 2015
  • Summary: This is without a doubt the most INK hoggish printer I have EVER used! I replaced cartriges about every 30 pages of black and white and about 10 pages of color. I am not kidding. Do not buy this printer!

Worst Printer I've Ever Had

CAPMAN, Canon
1 December 2014
  • Conclusion: This printer is awful, hands down. The paper will rarely feed properly, and it jams a lot once it does. Would not recommend purchasing. Larger PIXMA printers work better.

Forget the wifi

Book Reader 54321 "Book Reader 54321", Amazon
30 November 2014
  • Summary: Purchased for use at home as a shared printer to replace a very old HP wired network printer that was having feed issues (but otherwise printing fine after around 7 years of use). Found it impossible to get the wifi to work at all. The lack of even a poorly written instruction manual did not help, nor did the Canon websites lack of simple pdf download of a manual. The wanted to run an exe file to get you the manual, what I finally ended up with was virtually unusable.

High quality workhorse for a song!

Birdsong, Canon
21 November 2014
  • Conclusion: Delightfully easy, incredibly low priced!. Not only delivers what it promises on the box, but it has an incredibly easy desktop production platform. Love that "Image Garden"! And for those who aren't graphic designers, there is a plethora of ideas, instructions, and templates to create magical pieces of ORIGINAL photographic printed artwork. So cheap! So GREAT!

Fair

Sophie's Choice, Canon
19 November 2014
  • Conclusion: Needed to replace my printer and was sold this one. Disappointing. It jams, and the paper out tray shoots my print outs right onto the floor whether it be one printed sheet or several. My other printer was linked to my computer so that it was turned on when I needed to print and turned itself off when it was done. This printer has only a manual function which is a deterrent. I would not recommend this printer.

Great Printer for the money!

Jackiebrown, Canon
16 November 2014
  • Conclusion: I don't understand why there are so many negative reviews this printer is great! The setup was easy and I have printed some very beautiful photos. I would buy another one if this one started to fail because I am so happy with it!

14 November 2014
  • Conclusion: After going through two printers having similar problems I finally decided on the Canon. So far so good. The ease of setup was impressive. Not a bulky one like my last ones.

  • Summary: Good overall printer. Does the job which is printing shipping labels from my laptop, android or ipad. No wires needed(exept power of course) setup wireless connection and you good to go! Little slow, little noisy but what do you expect from ~50 dollar printer. Great value for money! Recommended!!!

not reliable

kerryokie, Canon
10 November 2014
  • Conclusion: Seemed great when I first got it. Paper jam wadded up and i cleared it from the rear using.instructions provided in the manual. Did not force it at all. Changed the print cartridges and now it won't print straight at all. I did all the things I was told to do. I aligned the cartridges and followed all the steps. I've only had it a couple of months. Luckily it was cheap so I don't mind tossing it but no more Canon products for me.
