Love it!

jc in Norman, Amazon
10 September 2012
  • Summary: I love this portable printer. It's light enough I can carry it in a briefcase and the print is as good as a desktop (inkjet). I've worn one out and replaced it with an HP which was just too thick and heavy.

Disappointed

jbull, Amazon
30 April 2012
  • Summary: I was looking for a portable printer for work related printing needs out in the field. I was very excited when I received this printer because of it's size. Unfortunately, set up was a nightmare. I was on the phone with Canon support three days in a row and couldn't get it to print.

Unmatched Portability

yelena C., Newegg
11 February 2009
  • Summary: Despite of all cons I just bought a new one because of unmatched portability for both documents and photos . I need a printer to take it to court with me and this is the best out there.
  • Pros: Super portable, light wheit, great quality of print, fast printing.
  • Cons: It takes only few pages at a time, neeed constant feeding. The cost of printing is vey high; this printer uses a lot of ink. It doesn’t last long, breaks fast. I owned several of them already and they don’t last.

Great printer

Alan G., Newegg
8 February 2009
  • Summary: I am happy are you
  • Pros: But this one now if you can. It is the 2nd one I have gotten. The black ink tanks are still only $6.50 each. Evary time they come out with a newer and better model the ink tanks get smaller and more expensive.
  • Cons: it didnt cost under 25 bucks

Still Use It

FRANK K., Newegg
25 April 2008
  • Summary: I really like this printer. Only use it for proofs, printing out directions, that sort of stuff. Dont expect to print more than 5 pages at a time.
  • Pros: Bought it on the road, but now it fits in a very compact way (and attractive when closed up) in arms reach for my desk.
  • Cons: Not for production, eats ink. Do keep the top and front door closed at all times to conserve it from drying out.

Good Occational Use Printer

Anonymous, Newegg
27 February 2008
  • Summary: This is great if you do the occasional printing in tight spaces. But if you do a lot of printing, you may want to consider something a little larger.
  • Pros: This little printer is reasonably fast and print quality is really good for it's size
  • Cons: Printer cartridges are REALLY SMALL! I've never seen printer cartridges quite this small. It doesn't hold a lot of ink.

useless

Anonymous, Newegg
6 February 2008
  • Summary: I have printed a total of 30 jobs. some of qhich were research papers at draft quality some of which are Indesign spreads in black and white. some of these are high quality photos. with the price of refill tanks, that comes out to an average of $1.33 a print job. poooooor economy.
  • Pros: decent print quality, small, light-weight, excellent portability.
  • Cons: requires refills often! i have had this printer for a very short time and have printed very few photos on it and it is already OUT of ink. canon sacraficed too much in size for the ink tanks. it is completely uneconomical. both black and color ink tanks are twenty dollars each

User Review

Robert R., Newegg
25 January 2008
  • Pros: We had the model previous to this release. The printer is very small and the quality is decent.
  • Cons: Protect the outershell of the unit. If it gets squished in a bag or something, it can affect the drive head moving from left to right. This was the problem with our last. The design of the two are almost identical.

Great Printer

Ross D., Newegg
10 November 2007
  • Summary: Cannon tech support is the best I have ever encountered. Easy to reach, very easy to work with. Worth a few extra bucks to have that kind of backup. I'm a convert from HP as a standard.
  • Pros: Very portable, durable and produces excellent 4x6 prints. I use as portable office printer as well as photo printer. Has neat "Profile" feature that simplifies setting up for snapshots, then letter, then general printing. Very handy. Best for printing snapshots on the fly and having a printer wit...
  • Cons: Need to use often or ink dry out and ruins printhead. Really need to use it when in dry climate like CO. Doesn't like generic ink cartridges. Fairly expensive ink cartridges, but then they all are......
