Waste of money

Alireza Vahadji, Amazon
  • Summary: Slow & CD/DVD printing does not work. Once the ink runs out this baby is going right to dumpster. I gave it one star to be able to write my comment for people to know what to expect buying it.

A piece of junk

Eva B. Douglas, Amazon
20 February 2014
  • Summary: I love my IP 4500. It stopped working before I got to doing my Christmas cards so I bought this for back up. Consumer report gave it top billing. the IP 4500 took itself on-line and started working so I did all my work from there. Today 2/20/2014 I opened the IP7220. First thing I noticed was how flimsy it was compared to my other. I spent afternoon and evening setting it up. And got a message that it was broken, to contact Canon. Needless to say this is my last Canon.

Terrible

Laura, Amazon
28 January 2014
  • Summary: Extremely difficult to set up and the Wi-Fi won't even work. I couldn't even figure out how to print a test page. I've tried connecting it to both my android phone and tablet but it says it cannot connect to printer? Extremely unhappy with this product, now I can't even contact the seller to return it.

Bring back rear feed!

Dave, Canon
23 January 2014
  • Conclusion: We have used Canon printers for over 11 years. Love their print quality and speed for photos. Unfortunately the medium we print on will not accommodate the bottom feed. PLEASE BRING BACK THE REAR FEED!!!
  • Cons: no rear feed

Run Away

bookelly, Canon
15 January 2014
  • Conclusion: Cheapest piece of garbage you will ever buy. Run away from this printer, it is terrible in every way. Even if the store pays YOU to take it home...throw it away before it gets into your house. I HATE this printer.
  • Cons: Difficult to use, Slow Print Speed, Large Footprint, Difficult Setup, Low Quality Output, unreliable, Flimsy Construction, you get to print 10 pages before it needs ink

Poor quality, slow, expensive ink

unwork, Canon
19 December 2013
  • Conclusion: Terrible experience with this printer. Canon might make quality products for industrial printing, but their consumer-oriented printers are cheaply built, slow and expensive to maintain. The IP7220 proves this point. Don't be fooled by the sleek looks of this printer, its performance is terrible.
  • Pros: Small Footprint
  • Cons: Slow Print Speed, Flimsy Construction

Rear Feed Needed!

Jill, Canon
15 October 2013
  • Conclusion: This new model is extremely disappointing. My business relies completely on the rear feed feature, and this option was removed from this model! We exclusively use Cannon printers AND INK. However now, with this inconvenient removal of the rear feed, we will be forced to look elsewhere for printer and ink providers. Please reinstate this crucial feature for our company!

NO REAR FEED - awful printer

CBphoto, Canon
24 September 2013
  • Conclusion: I have been an devoted canon customer for 9 years. Have exclusively used canon printers (and cameras) for both business and personal use. This new printer is supposed to replace the 4900 printer series, but they have taken away the rear feed! Without the rear feed it's impossible to print quality photos, print on envelopes, print placecards, etc. I have spent thousands and thousands of dollars on canon products and this new printer is a complete disappointment.
  • Pros: easy to use
  • Cons: Difficult to use, unreliable, no rear feed, hard to print photos, hard to print envelopes, impossible to print custom sizes

Not enough bells

Pamc, Staples
6 September 2013
  • Excerpt: Should be smaller, it does not have a tray for legal size paper, limited machine, good for students, not business.
  • Pros: No Paper Tray For Legal
