The iP6700D Photo Printer uses the ChromaLife 100 system to make stunning photograph prints. Borderless photographs of 4 by 6 inches are printed in about 47 seconds while the letter sized one in 76 seconds. It presents a color resolution of 9600 by 2400 for both colored and black. It is compatible with the operating system Windows 98, Windows Me, Windows 2000, and Windows XP as well as the Mac OS X versions 10.2.8 to 10.4.x. The printer uses USB cables to transfer data to the printer.

The iP6700D is a good-quality six-ink photo printer with a nice LCD and connectivity options for printing without a PC. However, text isn't its strongest point, and iP6600D owners don't really need to upgrade unless the new model's improved paper support or Canon-to-Canon feature is on their wish list. Read more

I've had quite a few color printers over the years. This is my first Canon Pixma and I admit the color is really accurate. For the first time I don't have to deal with too much ink on the page or colors that don't appear as they do on my monitor or in real life. The printer hibernates all by itself which I like, so if I'm not using it for a week or so, I don't have to remember to shut it off as I do with the other printers. I've had great luck with it.
