Cheap construction

D. Engelson, Amazon
23 April 2013
  • Summary: Purchased the printer in a set that included a Fax, and Scanner but kept the printer in the original box since my Canon I850 was working great. Recently switched printers and have had nothing but problems with the IP6310. Since it remained in the box for the past couple years returning it was out of the question. I was very disappointed in the quality and cheap material.

Oldie but Goodie

xtremecomputersols, Ebay
23 March 2011
  • Summary: I have owned this printer for about 3 years and it died all of sudden. Lots of pictures printed over the years mostly on 4x6 photo paper and always purchased ink in bulk tri-packs using the 51&52 cartridges. Images are always sharp and clear as from a lab. I was lucky to find the same model on ebay for $70 new-in-box not a refurb and it is working great. If it last another 3 years this will be the best photo printer I have owned.

printer

B. Hargrett, Amazon
29 July 2009
  • Summary: So far I am pleased with this product. It arrived undamaged and much faster than I had anticipated. For an inkjet printer the quality is really good, though somewhat slow. It is easy to use and install. I have had some trouble with printing as the paper in the tray was not feeding properly. After working with it for a while I finally got it to work. I have not used it to print photos yet, but so far I am pleased.

Was nice while it lasted - no real tech support.

M. Learned, Amazon
29 July 2009
  • Summary: I needed a new printer ASAP after my old one just stopped working. Wonder of wonders, Amazon had a special on the Canon PIXMA iP6310D that day. The reviews were good, the price was better. I have now had this printer as my main printer for several months, and the things I like about it are: -Very clear page prints -Ease of use (loading, tray, set-up, etc) -Size and design The things I don't: -Fairly noisy -Takes a while to print a page, noisily wheezing back and forth,...

No Windows 8 drivers!

Lloyd Licht, Amazon
29 July 2009
  • Summary: Great little printer, sold a number of 8x10's with just this printer and Adobe Elements, however if you are running Windows 8, Canon says no drivers available for Win 8 or 8.1 64 bit!

Canon PIXMA IP6310D

Jesse Brown, Amazon
29 July 2009
  • Summary: for a photo printer, this isn't the greatest printer. I can't tell the differance in the pictures my epson C84 printed to what this one prints. however this printer is much faster. another thing, it only has 2 ink cartrages. if you are looking for a good photo printer get one that has 4 or more cartrages. all in all it is a good printer, but I don't think its worth the price.

Great deal

S. Eding "Stan", Amazon
29 July 2009
  • Summary: This item is really good for the price. So far I have tested both photos and text. The photos have come out with much better color control than the do it yourself crap that you find in retail chains. I read in one review that you should use the vivid picture control in the included software. Honestly it doesn't make much of difference. The tool that does help is the noise reduction and feature smoothing.

fine photo printer for non-professionals

Ann Ueda, Amazon
29 July 2009
  • Summary: I've had my iP6310D for four months now and I am perfectly happy with it. I am not a professional photographer and use a point-and-shoot camera. The printer does a nice job of printing these types of pictures. I would suggest using the Canon 52 photo ink cartridge for high quantity printing. I would estimate that I've been able to print approximately 30-40 photos (4x6 size), I don't know if that's a lot or just a little. Easy to use, quick to set up.
