Summary: I needed a new printer after having a bad experience with 2 HP Inkjet pinters. This Canon fell within the price range I was going to spend. It is an older model but still brand new in the box. It will suffice for a while. It doesn't have a lot of bells and whistles which is fine by me. Keep it simple sweeheart.
As Always, The Ink Is Expensive, But the Printer Is...

Summary: a really great little printer. This printer replaced another Canon that I had had for about three years. The printhead finally went out on that one, and if you have ever replaced a printhead, you know that they are expensive, and sometimes the new one doesn't last very long. I have had this printer for about a year now, and I paid about $10.00 more for it than the cost of a new printhead, so it is a great value.
Summary: Factory Refurbished unit is as good as new, and a great deal for only $50 including shipping. The only problem is that it is extremely slow, and does not have an easy way to print in black and white, or to designate whether you want to use photo ink or ordinary color ink. It is especially slow on the first print after startup, which is often for me, because I turn it off to conserve electricity.
Summary: Its a little slow for printing just a word document, but it does and absolutly wonderful job of printing pictures. I guess the main reason I bought it was because my other printer quit working, and it was a good price for a picture printer. I dont print pictures that often, but I have began to print a few more since I got it.
Summary: I like this printer for the quality of photo prints. I bought it because my research said that it was a good photo quality printer. The only thing i don't like about it is the limitation on black & white prints. I t is not any big thing though since i do have a larger printer for this. The settings for photo printing seem to be ample and the photo quality seems to remain constant.
