Excellent printer for the price.

cooker430531, Ebay
22 February 2013
  • Summary: I bought this printer to replace the one I had used for over 5 years. The printer is reliable and provides excellent hardcopy printouts. However, I have not had good success at printing photos from my iMac with color that matches what I see on my computer screen.

Great photo printer with double sided capabilities

S. J McCartin, Amazon
29 November 2005
  • Summary: I've had this printer for about two years. It's my photo printer, I really don't do a lot else with it because I don't want to wear it out prematurely. Before this unit I had a canon i850 which was also a excellent unit but I had problems with leaky heads and it was only a three color printer, this one uses cyan, magenta, yellow and photo cyan, and photo magenta to print color and the difference in the two products is pretty considerable.

Great economical, multipurpose printer

Allen Benusa, Amazon
25 November 2005
  • Summary: I bought this printer on Oct 15, 2005 to replace a Canon i950 printer that quit working. Read my updates below regarding the series of Canon printers that I have been through. Printer produces excellent photo prints due to the 6 ink tanks. Also it does duplex printing on plain paper which is a real plus. Individual ink tanks are definitely the way to go.

Great Printer...Customer service good too, even with some snags

Gordon Julie Helmer "Team Helmer", Amazon
27 September 2005
  • Summary: I bought the IP6000D a couple of months ago on recommendation by a friend. My friend was right...the photo quality is amazing, especially if you use Canon's Photo Paper Pro. I tried printing the same photo on Photo Paper Pro and the Staples brand Photo Supreme High Gloss Paper and the difference was definitely noticeable. The photo looked pretty good on the Staples Brand paper, but looked even sharper & more vivid on the Photo Paper Pro.
