Summary: Best printer I have ever owned. Ink cartridges are now very reasonable if not the OEM and they work extremely well. After several years usage the print head went bad and I made a mistake and bought another brand printer and was sorely disappointed.
Summary: I had been looking for a printer that would do a good job of printing both text and photos. It is clear that a firehose full of ink can't match a laser in terms of text crispness and accuracy.
Summary: I do alot of scrapbooking. I scan my old pictures, burn them for safekeeping and then reprint them on this printer they look wonderful. I have even scanned objects such as lace doilies and printed the out for my scraping. It is easy to use and does not take up much space on my desk.
Summary: I purchased this printer for the office because I had such good luck with a similar model at home. There is consistant quality in everything I print on this machine. It is especially reliable for matching the colors expertly on photos and graphics.
Summary: I am an owner of the IP5200 and I spefically bought it for speed, color quality, and "Primarily" because I needed to refill the cartridges. We run a business and do a lot of color printing of brochures and newsletetrs. Sending them out was cost prohibitive.
Summary: I have been so pleased with my IP5200! It is very quiet compared to my old Epson Photostylus 820 Which gave me nothing but problems after the first month of use... always clogging and needing cleaning.
