Fine printing but only lasted less than three years

Ivor Clucas, Amazon
9 April 2014
  • Summary: This printer was bought to replace and aged HP deskjet less than three years ago. Main reason for purchase was the duplex printing capablity and the good photo imaging. Both this factors worked well but now the print head needs replacing and a new one would cost more than the printer did in the...

  • Summary: All the reviews, including those on Amazon rate this printer very highly. No issue with it installing on my PC, but I simply could not get the paper feed mechanism to work properly.

A frustrating disappointment

David King, Amazon
3 January 2013
  • Summary: I bought a Canon Pixma IP4600 from Amazon in August 2009 for £84. Since then I have spent £96 on replacement ink. The trouble is that, during those three and a bit years, I would be surprised if I'd had more than a hundred prints from it - it lives in our holiday home.

Fantastic printer, lab quality prints with the right paper

A. Coleby, Amazon
17 September 2012
  • Summary: This is the best value-for-money printer ever, even cheaper than the IP4800, which I used to death. This time round I've bought two! Photos are amazing quality for personal use and with the right paper give lab prints a run for their money.

Drinks Ink

A. Pilling "A Pilling", Amazon
6 August 2012
  • Summary: Although this is a good photo printer, for an every day printer it is useless. It cleans itself constantly, and the time (and ink)taken, 2 minutes or more is a pain when simple quick B & W copies are all that is required.

  • Pros: Ease of use, Easy and fast to set up, Great print results
  • Cons: Pricey Ink, Large .
