Versatility is one of the key characteristics of the PIXMA iP4300 Photo Printer by Canon. It has a print head containing a 5 color ink system that can create photographs of superior color quality and without any borders on its edge. It also allows for double sided printing without the hassle of having to manually flip the page over.
Features
The resolution created by the Canon PIXMA iP4300 Photo Printer reaches up to 2400 x 9600 color dpi, from the performance of 3,584 precision nozzles on the print head. Ink droplets reach a microscopic size of 1 picoliter. There is no need for a computer since printing is possible via a PictBridge capable digital camera or camcorder connection. Color photographs printed using original Canon inks will last for a century. Printer speed reaches 30 ppm for black and 24 ppm for colored printouts. The PIXMA iP4300 is 17.5 inches long, 12 inches wide, and 6.3 inches high, and weighs 21 pounds.

Reviewer: ProductSifter22 June 2008(Compare Prices) It uses two paper trays so you can store your glossy photo paper in one and plain paper for text in the other and toggle between the two as necessary. problems with ink cartridges in less than a year

I use my printer infrequently, so my first set of ink tanks lasted about 6 months. I replaced the PGI Black cartridge (one of the 5 that this printer uses) with an authentic Canon one which cost about $16. Now the printer won't print black at all. I have cleaned and deep cleaned the print head, checked the cartridge lights, followed all instructions on the manual.
