Summary: I have used this printer for a little over 6 months and have absolutely no complaints. I started out using the Canon inks, but have recently used generic ink tanks, with no change in print quality or printing problems. I use it in an office environment, and it gets used a lot.
Summary: When my laser printer broke, I decided to try an inkjet because there were times when I would have liked to have color printing. Based on research and reviews, I picked the Canon PIXMA iP4000 Photo Printer.
Summary: The printer is easy to set up and use. I like the fact that I can completely close the printer case between uses(no need of dust cover). I primarily print text, but feel the photo quality is excellent compared to my old HP 692C. A very fast printer as well. I have not yet printed using photo paper.
Summary: This printer is the quietest printer I've ever used, very easy to setup,I had mine out of the box and running in approx. 7 minutes! The ip4000 has amazing photo quality, at an amazing speed to boot!
Better photo prints than Mail-order Kodak Service...

Summary: I bought the Fuji FinePix S5100 (which I highly recommend) in conjunction with the iP4000 printer. I'll do a quick run-down for you all... 1. As a mac user... I find it frustrating that iPhoto cannot directly print borderless photos (at least I haven't found a way.. yet..
Summary: Delivery came in less time than estimated. Setup was simple, out of the box and printing in less than 15 minutes. This is not a simple printer however! It took longer to read the manual and begin to take advantage of it's features.
Summary: This is my third photo printer in as many years. My prior printers were Epsons, which developed head problems just out of warranty. Of course, you don't discover there's a problem until you've cleaned the heads 10 times and used up their expensive ink.
WOW...such wonderful photos for such a low price!!!!

Summary: I did my homework before buying the Canon ip4000, and I am glad I did, or else I might never have found this gem of a printer. I looked at Epsons, HP's, and Lexmark's, but none of them seemed to get the rave reviews or offer the options that the Canon ip4000 did. It really is a wonderful printer.
Summary: I've had this printer for approximately five months. It produces excellent text and photos - and is quick as well. I use the printer infrequently, and unlike my previous Epson photo printer, I was very pleased to see that the print nozzles do not clog from lack of use.
