Summary: I've had this printer for about 5 years. I mostly use it to print documents in B&W and occationally print a photo or two. So by no means is it over used or not used enough. Not great on ink usage, runs out without telling you it's low. Is complicated to print photos. Printer has two trays and will sometimes want to use the back tray for what seems like no reason, forcing you to either move your paper or restart the printing, both annoying when all you want is it to...
Cons: Takes a long time to actually start printing. The MAJOR problem is that the price of the 4 ink cartridges cost more than the price of the printer itself. I paid 55$ for the printer.. the ink cartridges are 20$ each. Do the math.
Summary: The Canon iP3500 is an impressive document printer and I'm pleased with that function. However pictures printed using the Picasa program and the iP3500 appear badly over-exposed and washed of color. I called Canon and the check-outs they had me perform were all good. Their view was that the problem was with Picasa. As a test I printed the same picture using the Easy Photo-Print EX program supplied by Canon and using Picasa.
Often Stops Printing due to Paper Jam Error Message

Summary: Excellent value and very satisfactory output. However, stops printing after every few pages due to "paper jam in output slot" However, there is no paper jam. Resumes easily but requires user attention to finish every job. I've seen other reviews indicating the same.
