Summary: I have spent more than 2 hours just trying to install this crazyness - I am an IT professional but the language in the set-up guide is at places too tech even for me - I am simply trying to do a "wireless installation where network is password protected" - seems like a fairly common situation to me but they have provided no easy way to do it.
Summary: Piece of garbage. Paper wouldn't feed properly--spent half an hour cleaning using instructions from manual. Turns out that roller is permanently stuck. Shouldn't happen after such a short time. DON'T BUY!!
Summary: Bought this printer for light home use because it was cheap and fairly small. After printing about 20 pages, it mangled a sheet. I pulled the jammed sheet out per the manual's instructions (it came out in one piece), but the fault light will not go out no matter what I do. The transport system is completely clear. I'm kicking myself because I bought an extra set of ink cartridges with the printer, which are now useless.
Paper jams and limited functionality with PDF files

Summary: This printer fit perfectly into a cubby in my computer desk, as long as I chose to use only the front paper tray. Frequent paper jams from the first day were just the beginning. Whenever trying to print an Acrobat PDF file, it claims to be "out of paper" until you pull the printer out, put paper into the rear tray, and press "Resume".
Summary: This printer may be cheap, but watch out when you buy replacement ink! It'll cost you more than the printer itself! I returned mine, and bought a Canon i900d off eBay for around $90.00. The ink only cost $25.00 at the most for 2 cartridges of each color. Don't waste your money on this one! I lost money buying it because it had free shipping, because when I returned it I lost about $15.00 on it.

Summary: The printer itself is a little more difficult to manage on a Mac - the utilities are buried deeper. After aligning the heads, I still see streaks on the page (spaces between lines of printing). I will keep experimenting, but the streaks only appear at the end of a 4x6 print. The contrast of the printer is low. This produces pictures which appear washed out and light. For printing, I am using Adobe Lightroom on Mac OS X 10.4.
Summary: I bought this printer from CompUSA 10/15/07. I installed it on my iMac and it worked fine. When I changed operating system to Leopard I had to re-install the printer software but the printer still worked well both as a photoprinter and a text printer. Then about 11/20/07 the black ink smeared whenever a heavy line or bold type was printed. I performed all the maintenance procedures given in the Pixma iP3500 manual.
