Summary: I have owned this printer for nearly ten years(!). I use it very sporadically - sometimes going up to two years between print jobs. Surprisingly, even after powering it on after a two year lapse, the ink still flows and the prints are crisp. Photos come out vibrant. It's also fairly quiet as well.
Summary: This is my seoond Canon printer - the price keeps dropping and the quality of the prints keeps improving. The ink utilization is frugal. I have found the 4 ink cartridge system is much easier (and cheaper) for me as a home user than the 7 cartridge printer I had previously.
Summary: I had very positive results with this printer, until it just gave up the ghost one day. I used it on my mac for about two years. I certainly didn't abuse it or use it heavily. One day it just stopped responding -- I couldn't even turn it on. Now its going to our local electronics recycling station.
Summary: Mac Users: good news if you've had a problem with accessing functions such as cancelling a printing job after installing Mountain Lion. Those problems completely went away after I upgraded to Mavericks, and all functions were restored.
Summary: I received the printer on time and found no problems with the setup. The printer has a quiet setting for printing which I like even though it takes a bit longer to print. It is a great value for the price.
Summary: I realize the other reviews may be more helpful for those looking for actual descriptions of the printer's abilities, but I wanted to take a moment to warn those who may be interested about one particular problem. As someone mentioned, the ink cartridges have chips used to identify them.
Summary: This printer's speed, text and graphics are all excellent. I print about 50 pages a day and it always operates trouble-free. I am only giving it four stars, not five, for one reason: it is no longer possible to replace the original Canon ink cartridges with cheaper compatible ink cartridges because...
Summary: This review is in the context of a Mac System. I replace an aging Epson Stylus Color ink-jet printer with this purchase. I was tired of replacing a a three color ink cartridge, and picked the Canon iP3300 in part on the separate ink cartridge approach that this printer uses.

Summary: Canon color is the most accurate color I have seen in any printer. I like the fact that each of the four cartridges will only cost $11.00. Compared to my older LEXMARK which tried to make all of their money in ink sales, canon ink is reasonable.
