Summary: I have owned 5 of these printers over the last several years. I work them to death. I bought them 2 at a time after I wore out the first one. Pros... 1) Fast, higher quality document printing.
Summary: I just bought a HP printer and read reviews on this one that same day. I took the HP back since the reviews were all positive for this PIXMA. I am SO glad I did. Easy to set up and install. The first picture I printed amazed me and my son. His reaction was WOW!!!! My reaction as well.
Summary: Never thought much of Canon printers, but picked up this one to use with a Powershot. I hooked it up to the 'puter anyway and installed the drivers/software, and that was completely painless, which surprised me (my backup machine; Win 98SE, eek!).
Summary: I previously owned the Canon i560 which I liked a lot. The Canon Pixma ip3000 is the replacement for the i560. In fact, they both use the same four ink tanks. I am TRULY AMAZED at the picture quality of this printer - no one would suspect that I printed my pictures using a $45 printer (AR).
I can't believe I got a printer this good, for so little $!

Summary: I bought this printer for the high quality photo printing. When it arrived (in only 4 days using free shipping), I discovered that there was even more to like. Firstly, it uses 4 separate ink tanks, so you can replace only the color you need. BTW, they work quite nicely with ink refill kits.
Summary: This printer is compact yet useful, as well as easy to set up. Prints quickly with excellent results, even on photo quality. You can use the paper tray or manually feed paper, a nice option many other printers lack. Seperate ink cartidges are a HUGE improvement over the all-in-one color cartridge.

Summary: With so many positive reviews, I, an HP user all my life, had to try one to believe it. I believe it. I now own three of them. I cannot add much to what has already been said. Here's what hit home with me: 1. The price. Darn, this thing can be had for cheap! 2. The name.
Summary: I just bought a Canon camera so I picked up this printer as Canon has a $70 rebate on it. Net cost to me will end up being $20 so I have to say this is a great value. All I have to do is plug in my Canon camera directly into the printer (may not work like this for all other camera brands), format...

Summary: I was a little skeptical of this printer mainly because C/NET gave it such a low 6.7 rating. But I decided to go with it because of the amazingly positive reviews here on Amazon. Well the people have spoken and they are right and C/NET is wrong.
