Summary: I got this printer for 19.99 at the open box sale. I must say I was surprised with the photo quality this printer gave me. It has amazing quality pictures if you use real nice glossy photo paper, with regular matte paper photos look terrible but that is to be expected. The printer is very small and stylish but the plastic makes it feel a bit cheap (which it is). All in all everyday photo and document use this printer is great!
Pros: Small, Style, Quality, Price
Cons: Cheap Plastic, Ink runs out fast, Does not come with a USB cable!
Summary: Not a bad little printer for the price. Got it on sale for $26 bucks which isn't too bad at all! Runs well, setup was fast and easy. I didn't need the drivers disk. Windows 7 found the drivers before I could even take the disk out! If it lasts me 6 months I got my money's worth from it! Canon is a great name so I fully expect it to go the distance!
Pros: CHEAP! $25.99, you can't even buy ink for that price!
Canon Pixma iP2700: Cheap and trustworthy, perfect for students!

Summary: I got this printer when I was a student, I was looking for something cheap and easy to install, that wouldn't stop working after a couple of months! I was perfectly happy with my choice. Canon PIXMA iP2700 is very reasonably priced, it comes from a brand that you can trust and it is really easy to set up. It is also smart and smallish, perfect for my student room!
Summary: The first thing that impressed me was the way the installation was so quick and so simple. There was no time wasted setting up cartridge alignment or printing test pages etc. Secondly, I put paper into the input tray (top loading) and again I liked the way the paper is centred and aligned from both sides using plastic guides thus preventing wonky printing.
Pros: Easy set up, fast and clear printing, long cartridge life
Cons: Lack of paper output tray, slightly hard to locate cartridges
