Summary: I bought this about 18 months ago and it still works fine. My reason for purchasing was wanting to have both my printers use the same ink cartridges and my research showed this model did. Amazing how ink cartridges are not standardized, even within a manufacturer's models. This model was out of production, but found it on Amazon! Buying bulk cartridges makes more sense this way.
Summary: I have owned one for two years and was looking for another for My Granddaughter. Great little printer that does great letter printing and very good photo printing. Only negative would be that it is a little loud when printing.
Summary: The title is a little bit deceiving on this printer. It would suggest that it is a compact photo printer, when in fact it is a standard-sized desktop printer. I bought it as a dedicated photo printer, thinking it would be good for a portable setup. It prints beautiful pictures and it installed just fine on an XP machine, but it is just too big to be portable. Overall I am happy with it, but it will have to stay behind and do its job later when portability is a concern.
Summary: This printer is a good printer for the price. The print comes out clear and easy to read. So far I have not had any problems. I have used it with a netbook computer so had to download software from the internet and that took some time but it installed easily and printed with no problems. It is a bit loud and takes a few seconds to start printing but the print is good.
Summary: The cannon was purchased to replace my failing lexmark 660 laserjet printer. For a used printer it work like new,had to replace ink cartages shortly after recieving the printer ,but i was for warned in advance of the low ink condition. this printer is quieter and faster then my lexmark ever was,it starts to print with a startling bang ,that takes you by surprise, but you get use to it! it prints very clear documents and envelopes, also prints very shape and clear photos.
Summary: I recently purchased this printer after my hp deskjet6620 died on me a few months after my warranty (what luck!). Anyway, so far I'm very pleased with the ip2600. The style is very sleek and small enough to fit on my desk. The only 2 downfalls I have come across so far is that when I printed a photo the colors are slightly dull . Secondly, the warranty from Canon is only 3 months. You could always purchase the additional warranty from Amazon.com for less than 10 dollars.
Summary: This was a gift. I was looking for a printer for my sister. She needed something that would be easy on cartridge refills. I picked this one because of the price and it should do everything she needs it for. So far so good.
Summary: My sister told me that it works perfectly. It was a very nice printer and my sister is very happy that she now have a new printer, though we need to buy a new ink for it, but still its a very good buy.
