DO NOT BUY!

Uncle Rico, Amazon
8 December 2009
  • Summary: I purchased this printer and it stopped working after three months. Great timing since my warranty expired after a month or so. I took it to a repair shop and found it could not even be fixed because the AC adapter unit inside was faulty. I ended up throwing away a $50 printer, time, and money.

DOA!

Josh A., Newegg
19 May 2009
  • Summary: Followed all assembly/installation instructions, problem is not user error.
  • Pros: Cheap, fast shipping, Makes a great paperweight, if not a bit bulky.
  • Cons: Once it's turned on, it makes a horrible grinding sound, smells like its burning, and shuts itself off. Really exciting.

Feeder broke after light use

Jonathan M., Newegg
5 May 2009
  • Pros: For the time it did work, it was an adequate mid-line consumer printer. Fast and neat printing.
  • Cons: Rollers started to fail about 5th print job in (rarely print to begin with, only about 60 pages printed so far on the printer). So now pulls the paper in skewed to the left and tears off the right side of the paper. As a result, the print heads print everything skewed. Absolutely horrible quality...

Wouldn't Recommend

Anonymous, Newegg
2 March 2009
  • Summary: I bought this printer because of it's high DPI and low cost with a plan to print about 120 color photos in one sitting. I knew it would take a while but I was prepared. At about page 30 the automatic paper feeding started to go. I had to force feed all the paper from then on.
  • Pros: Small, cheap, looks great, cheap ink.
  • Cons: Low durability, magnet for fingerprints and dust.

Can't trust it to complete a job without jamming

Jessica Howdeshell, Amazon
29 September 2008
  • Summary: This printer constantly feeds more than one page through at a time. This means that I have to reset it every one or two pages. I have yet to have it print more than 2 pages without jamming. It also uses up ink quickly and ink isn't cheap. I takes a long time to print.

Impossible to use only black

Chung Lee, Amazon
29 September 2008
  • Summary: If you run out of color ink, it is impossible to use only black ink because it keeps asking to insert the color ink cateridge and refuse to print even though you set it up to use only black cateridge.

Canon IP2000 Photo Printer

K. Wolodkin, Amazon
29 September 2008
  • Summary: This video is for the Canon IP2000 photo printer. Gargabe is my review as it failed only after 4 months! The ink cartridges (if generic) do not tell the ink level and don't last for more that about 8 photos. I purchased this printer for about $28 bucks and you really do get what you pay for.

FORCES YOU TO OVERBUY INK - PRINTER CONTROLS YOU!!

Kip L, Amazon
29 September 2008
  • Summary: LIKED THE PRINTER at first, BUT HORRIBLE DEAL. . . The Printer controls your ink use through MICRO CHIPS! For example, it tells you when you need ink, so you are a slave to it. I only print BLACK & WHITE, but the color gets used up! How is this possible??

shadow of a printer

DJ Tater, Amazon
29 September 2008
  • Summary: I must be doing something wrong. I purchased this printer and it prints fine regular documents but all the photos come out like ghost printings..they are there but the colors are all totally washed out--barely there at all.

Piece of crap

linvillegorge, Amazon
29 September 2008
  • Summary: Print quality is decent, but relatively slow and loud. My complaint is the feed mechanism. It sucks. It started by giving errors for no paper with a full paper tray, then started feeding paper crooked. If I want to print a page, it'll take 10-12 tries to eventually get it right. Just terrible.
