decent for the price.

emkins0812, Ebay
29 April 2012
  • Summary: Ive Used Mine for about 3 years now. Thing works fine, although it is starting to act up due to age, and the fact of use. I Bought it just to print labels for ebay, when i sold an item. ive had to replace the ink about 8 times in 3 years. But thats for maybe 10 items-20 items sold per month. Not that great for pictures, but fine for documents, and papers. does need to be aligned every time ink s replaced. cleaning performed during ink replacement is a great idea as well.

Good at the right price

Tom S. "Tom S.", Amazon
10 June 2008
  • Summary: This is a decent printer. It is possible to get it unbelievably cheap if you look around for refurbed ones. The picture quality is absolutely acceptable, and I didn't find it too noisy. It's a little slow (about 1 minute per 4x6 in high quality mode) but for the price, what can one expect?

Great printer - NO USB CABLE!

Overstock
5 June 2008
  • Summary: Great little printer for quick jobs but ... be aware that there's no USB cable included with the printer! You have to purchase that separtely. You can find them cheaply, but it's best to buy them at the same time as the printer rather than waiting to figure all this out when the box arrives. Regardless, once it's set up, it's a great printer for small scale jobs.

Almost 5 stars

Robert E. King "Robertking78", Amazon
4 March 2008
  • Summary: Purchased this item as a little cheap way to print out D&D maps while we are playing. It works well and drivers are all updated. Didn't have a printer cable which is why it got 4 stars but oh well, I have one already. Other than that Amazon shipped it fast, UPS didn't lose it. All is good.

Pixma iP 1800 Delivers

D. Sedman "Big D", Amazon
15 February 2008
  • Summary: I replaced my Canon Pixma 6000D (with six expensive ink jets)with this nice utility printer. The quality of the photos with the iP1800 are high quality enough for family snapshots. And, I like the separate color and black cartridge so I can save on ink by just printing basic documents in "grayscale." My son says the Canon cartridges are cheaper than HP. Big negative: No tray to catch the paper when it prints out.
