Summary: My old PIXMA broke and I got the same printer again because I knew that the prints would be great. The colors are bright, the details are sharp and the authentic Pixma cartridges last a long time.
Summary: My old printer quit so I looked for one, that the ink was the lest costiy. I found the 1800 on sale, and the ink was cheap. It came with set-up disk, real easy set up. To my surprise it is about 5 times faster than my old printer. I get great pictures and text.
Summary: Ive Used Mine for about 3 years now. Thing works fine, although it is starting to act up due to age, and the fact of use. I Bought it just to print labels for ebay, when i sold an item. ive had to replace the ink about 8 times in 3 years. But thats for maybe 10 items-20 items sold per month. Not that great for pictures, but fine for documents, and papers. does need to be aligned every time ink s replaced. cleaning performed during ink replacement is a great idea as well.
Summary: This is my second printer in two years. Works beautifully and at an inexpensive price. Uses Canon #30 & #31 ink cartridges. Since I print all the time (10-30 sheets per day), this little printer is just great!!
Works/Prints GREAT but EATS printer ink cartridges

Summary: I purchased this Canon printer to replace the identical Canon printer that I wore out due to extensive/heavy usage. This Canon printer quickly produces high-quality prints and pics, BUT the printer ink cartridges only produce about 60-70 per cent the number of prints claimed by the manufacturer. I would only recommend buying this Canon printer to those who plan non-haavy usage.
