Summary: I was looking for printers at the retail stores. They all seemed so pricey and had their flaws. I bought a HP OfficeJet Pro 8600 because a website had glowing reviews on its photo printing quality. So I paid big bucks to get the new model. The photo printing was a flop.
Summary: Canon printers tend to take a little longer to start up because of the effort Canon has put in developing technology that not only keeps print heads from clogging, but gives them a little refreshing job so the first page is as good as the last...
Pros: The price of the ink is much better than most of HP's however not the best for canon (pg-40 a tiny bit more than 1$ per mL) (HP ranges from over 1$ per mL to 2 or more $ per mL) The quality is great (as always for canon) It prints crystal clear pictures in standard mode and good text sheets almos...
Cons: It is a little bit on the noisy side. It very aggressively takes the paper. It's like claclick chunk clunk eeeeeeh ... But it is mostly because of the very high pages per minute this printer has (a pro). It barely shakes my desk and I have a room to myself so noise isn't an issue. Some people may...
Summary: I got this free with a monitor purchase at Fr$s. I hooked it up and printed some stuff, and then networked it. To bad its an ink jet. I perfer lazer printers. Then again this one was free. (I have 2 other printers. Another on the LBT port, and a third over the network on another PC. Why not us?
Summary: I've owned a number of higher end consumer and low-end pro inkjet printers over the years. While I was a little skeptical of the quality that could be produced with a 4-color inkjet in times when there are 5 & 6 color printers, I was pleasantly surprised.
Summary: The simplicity and low price and small size are what attracted me to this printer. It has served well in a clinical application which requires mainly black ink. The color cartriage is wasted on this application. I do whish the printer had a larger black ink tank. 5cc gets used up in a hurry.
Summary: This little printer is oddly the best printer I've ever had. Mainly because it's still working, it never fails to print. I've been using it steadily for three years and have yet to have a single issue with it.
Summary: This is a terrific little printer. Takes up minimal space, and if I hadn't accidentally dropped the one I had before (disengaged something that I couldn't repair myself) I would still be using the first one after several years. I know it's reliable, and ink cartridges last a long time.
Summary: I had this same printer that was 6 years old. I print app. 4 blacks and 2 color cartridges every 6 months and usually bought ink in that quantity. Well, I just got an order and the old printer quit. So waying my options I found this new old stock of the same model.

Summary: Ordered this printer to replace an older model that we had for over 6 years. We really liked the printer because it was easy to use and the color printing is not bad for our everyday needs. This model is just as good as the 1600 & it came with a set of ink cartridges.
