Excerpt: Well like its predecessor the iP1200 , the Canon PIXMA iP1700 is also bit bulky. I mean, you think Canon could have maybe changed the design a bit. What it really looks like is a printer that’s still in the process of being completed. The front end looks like its been ripped open by a 5 year old. It should have come with a paper tray in the front for it would be of great service if you would need to perch the printer at the edge of your desk.
Excerpt: The PIXMA iP1700 is similar to the iP1300, but there are a few differences. The iP1700 has a dark-grey front panel, comes with a black ink cartridge as standard and has a higher speed rating for colour printing. Like the iP1300, this is a no-frills inkjet. There's no paper output tray and no PictBridge USB port. Both printers have a paper thickness lever just under the paper output, which helps them adjust to different media types.
